I'm 100% certain that people who actually use trucks for their intended purpose were not the target demographic -- it was rich kids who wanted a cool tech toy, while also playing dressup with the "labourer" aesthetic.

A powerful point. It's easy to think you're just a passive consumer, when really your posts, comments, likes, attention, or even just unintentional algorithm tuning -- are all adding value to the platform.
Been here over a year, and yeah this is the place to be now. I love that if I disagree with how an admin runs their instance then I can just fuck off to an entirely different server, or even start my own.
Oh that is a good point actually. It's been a while since I have done any serious Python, so I'm not sure why you couldn't just use convention instead of this conditional.
For my part, if a Python script is meant to be executed, then I'll give it a shebang, drop the .py, and simply mark it as executable in the filesystem. 🤷♂️
