  • I've never had issues with getting refunds through steam. I've never successfully gotten a refund through epic.

    you can enjoy your free games if you want, but it isn't a better service and pretending otherwise is delusional.

  • I had a switch1. Enjoyed a couple games on it. On a whim, I bought mario party # whatever to play with friends, downloaded it, and discovered that we couldn't play it with the controllers I had. I wasn't about to buy even more controllers, so I decided to refund the game. Nintendo said no, as per their refund policy no game that has been downloaded can be refunded. I gave away my switch that same week. Breath of the wild runs better on my pc anyway.

  • i know it's not the important part of your comment, but I must point out that indies will be fine because indies do not have publishing deals. If your studio is beholden to a publisher, then you are by definition not independent.
