I enjoy work to the extent that one can enjoy something they're forced to do. I don't think there's anything wrong with that. Would I choose to do a million other things with my time if I could? Sure. But there's nothing wrong with liking something even if it's not your preference.

This has pretty much always been the case. Americans have been sticking Canadian shit on their luggage forever cause they know we are better welcomed generally.

Paid $50 for mine like 7 years ago. Is it fancy? Heck no. Does it clean my butt real good? Heck yes.

As someone whose contract was cut short in direct relation to these tariffs, I am worried that some industries will suffer and there may be some job loss. I'm definitely expecting to see more job losses in my sector. However I am feeling an increase in faith that the current Canadian government will take good steps to protect as many people as possible from it (I can't speak for after the election).

Have we seen the Canadian airline companies jack up national flight prices like how the big grocers are jacking up Canadian product prices or nah?

Not to disrespect if that's what your relative prefers, but nibling is actually the gender neutral for niece/nephew. Sibling is already gender neutral as sister/brother are the gendered terms.

I had to clean out my uncle's house when he passed away suddenly. Among many other things, this man had a box full of gum wrappers perfectly folded into little triangles. But don't worry, I've been assured he wasn't autistic, he was just a little antisocial and odd.

In Canada we see a lot less of that due to rules around news and reporting on social media, but there's a push for better regulation still. I worry it's not enough to keep us clear of the conservatives this election.

I really hope you're right. I'm actually very scared that they'll take over our social media this election season and we'll get fucked as well.
