@fool so it's racist because we of Asian descent tend to eat rice? Are other Asians asking automobile enthusiasts not to use this or is it basic white girl stuff?
@sundray@seahorse as someone who lived in Texas for a time, it is not as bleak as it appears from up here. The truth is most people are good people if you just get them away from their keyboards and talk to them like neighbors.
@MegamanEXE Maybe I didn't explain myself well. Most enjoyers of sport prefer to watch the best athletes. This is nearly always men. That's really the only reason that separate women's leagues ever got created. Many major sports, MLB, NFL, NHL, etc. don't actually have any particular requirements among gender, but the people who do want to see women participate have needed to create separate women's leagues for hockey, football, etc. because women haven't been able to compete at men's levels. And I say it's easy to understand because looking at numbers of ticket sales and television viewing make it pretty clear that far fewer people are interested in watching women's sports.
Some claim that its about exposure and marketing and not a true preference of sports fans, but even in more equal playing fields, like Crickets' "The Hundred" (English francise limited over Francise League) where every side has a women's and men's team and ever game is a double header in which both women and men play on the same date at the same location with the same ticket, 3 hours before the other, nearly half the audience doesn't get there until near the men's game starts (originally they actually had some times the men went first and sometimes the women went first and when men's game where first the attendance during the women's match was even worse). Similarly, the Olympics, which is fairly equally promoted, attendance at men's competitions is much higher with only a few exceptions, such as gymnastics and figure skating. Some claim equestrienne is the best Olympic sport as it's the only one where men and women compete as individual athletes directly against each other (of course others say it's the worst claiming the horse not the athlete is the one doing all the work).
@MegamanEXE@alyaza I mean its pretty easy to understand, most people don't want to watch women's sports. This past year with women's basketball is the first time that's moved the neddle at all, and that is mostly about racists who wanted to watch the "great white hope" Catlin Clark.
@P4ulinKbana I'm a good parent. The kids are with us all the time, if they were doing something they weren't supposed to I'd know. Honestly, I tink I'd rather they be doing something nuferious than watching annoying kids videos, alas they prefer to watch the later too often watching other kids play scream and play with toys that we already bought that they never play with.
@piccolo well sure, but "Communism with Chinese characteristics" is a line that the CCP has used to control the working class in mainland China for decades.
@humblepetedigger@Nito Odysee isn't owned by Google. It is one of a number of block-chained based de-centralized video sharing platforms utilizing the LBRY network.
@deegeese@TheDarksteel94 you understand it was a Chinese site first, right, and that Americans decided to use it? The Chinese government owns 50% of every company in China, that's "Communism with Chinese characteristics"
@SelfProgrammed well sure, but my way is funnier 😉
