I've thought about it and then I remember that I'm pretty dumb about stuff that doesn't interest me much, so it would have to be a situation where someone else was like, "here's your linux computer, I already set up all your stuff and your games all work."
I just don't know why I keep clicking on the memes. I don't know anything about Linux, I know I'm not gonna get it, but I keep opening them and being confused. It's like when I try to understand the code in programmer humor like it's suddenly gonna click. Or ich_iel. I don't speak German. What was up with all the noodles? I still don't know!
I stg, 80% of my time on this site is just clicking stuff I know will confuse me but I can't stop.
I'm not sure. I never use the full dnd setting, so I haven't had to try any alternatives. I just know dnd seems to work better than apps that say they'll block spam.
Put your phone on do not disturb for anyone not in your contacts. I almost never get spam calls anymore because my phone just sends them all straight to voicemail and they seem to have figured out that they'll never get through to a real person. It took a few months, and I still had to clear out quite a few voicemails in that time but I didn't get notifications about them so I could just clear them out at the end of the day.
Holy shit. Apparently a lot of places don't do it there and will tell people to do it themselves a couple days before (not sure if it's practice to practice, doctor's preference, or what) but I've never heard of anyone just doing a vasectomy on hairy skin. That suuuucks.
She said it just makes the skin more irritated because they have to go over it make sure there's no stubble, missed spots, etc, and shaving over freshly shaved skin is just kind of harsh. Especially in sensitive areas.
They still have to shave it again at the doctor. My mom said she wished people wouldn't pre-shave surgical sites (she's a nurse, not just a weirdo offering to shave people for fun).
ETA: If your doctor tells you to shave before a procedure, do it. It's probably just a good bet in general to always follow whatever pre-op instructions you get from your specific provider because every doctor is different.
I'm not leaving. It's tempting, but at this point, I'm committed to staying and fighting for all of the people who don't have the privilege to move. And the kids who are too young to vote but deserve to know there are adults on their side who won't abandon it. I don't begrudge anyone who moves, especially if it's a safety issue, but I just can't.
Oh god, a bunch of my coworkers "used" Jabber at my last job and I was told I could, too. After hearing them complain I said nah and got my own Google Voice number and a cheap headset to use when I was working from home. Jokes on me, though, it meant I didn't have any excuse to ignore client calls like everyone else.
Yesss, I loved both of those games. Pentiment was so strange - there are things I didn't love about it, but I still got so sucked in that I'd wake up the morning and be eager to start playing again to find out what happens next. I haven't felt that way about a game in a while.
Groupwise. What an ugly, barely functional piece of crap. I'd set notifications for recurring tasks and sometimes it would remind me and then randomly stop for a while. Sending email felt like the early days of AOL. I left for about a year and when I came back, they'd switched to Outlook, which I don't love, but it's miles better than what we had.
The job I worked at for that year had a custom Salesforce thing that made me want to find whoever built it and throw something at them. It was supposed to track what benefits clients were receiving, like SNAP, disability, etc, but it was borderline impossible to read, case notes would cut off, and searches would routinely just not work. It soured me on Salesforce permanently if that's the kind of garbage they're releasing.
I mean, I get where you're coming from. Navalny may have opposed Putin but it's not like he was some great guy. But on the flipside, it's a nice little "fuck you" to Putin, which is rarely a bad thing.
While the vast majority of offenders are male, evidence gathered for the Global Study confirms that women account for a small proportion of SECTT offenders. Some female perpetrators label their crime as a search
for ‘romance’, but as the Europe report points out the end result is the same, with the richer traveller or tourist exploiting the poorer, local child. Generally speaking, women appear to target mostly men aged over 18 years. However, cases of underage boys having sex
with European female offenders, often for some form of remuneration, have been identified in different regions and countries. For example, a study on prostitution of children and its links to tourism in Venezuela found that foreign women travel to the country looking for ‘love’ with teenage boys and young men.
Reading through the second source pretty much backs up my initial statement that women going to Italy to hook up are nearly all looking for adults. The only breakdown of offender gender I could find said 93.3% men, 3ish% women, and the remainder unidentified. It also says Eastern Europe is much more likely to be a destination of choice for predators.
The second source, which admittedly had to be run through Google translate, is about Italians traveling abroad for sex tourism, not people going to Italy. There's no source listed for the claim that 10% of sex tourists are women that I could see. They do reference the org that created the second source, but I didn't see 10% anywhere.
I'm not dismissing sex tourism as a problem or saying women who contribute aren't monsters, but the evidence (and your sources) say men make up the vast majority of traveling predators and are far more likely to be seeking out children when they're going to known hot spots for that kind of thing than women going to western Europe.
I didn't think she really ever intended to run again, which is why she was so brazen about burning every possible bridge to the ground. I assume she intends to get a bs job for one of the people who bought her.
I literally don't know. I don't think anyone in the entire thread said that every person who goes to these places is going for sex tourism, just a particular type (which is just a straight up fact) but some people are acting like we stood in front of their houses calling them sex offenders.
Are you legitimately illiterate? "Passport office" is another version of "passport acceptance facility," and there are literally thousands of them, which you'd know if you looked at the Department of State link I provided. I don't even know why I'm responding at this point. You've been hyper aggressive to basically everyone in this thread for no real reason.
This is the single dumbest comment I've seen this week. Congrats! I think you need to walk away from this thread because you're taking it suuuuper personally when no one was talking about you. It can't possibly be good for your mental health to be this riled up over a meme.

I don't know why you're acting like I personally insulted you, unless you're the type of old man going to the Philippines to find a wife who only wants you for the green card. If you are, then yeah, be insulted about it, and think about your life choices.
Am I taking crazy pills right now? I'm literally asking for some kind of evidence and no one will provide it. I have tried finding it and everything that comes back is about women who are victims of sex tourism, not perpetrators. I'm not asking for evidence because I don't believe it, I'm asking because I can't find any.
