  • So extreme heat is extreme cold? It just wraps around? The bigger you make cars, eventually they become small cars? Like, in what universe do extremes exhibit circularity?

Entrepreneurship is the process of discovering unmet needs. You do not need capitalism to do that. Capitalism uses the profit motive to incentivize this activity, which means the ONLY unmet needs that get met are the ones that are profitable. There are MANY unmet needs that are not profitable to meet - like feeding the hungry, stopping domestic violence, ending police killings of black people, or housing the unhoused. Literally all of those needs are present, they have been identified, the resources exist, and the techniques exist, but, no profit, no movement.

Think about how weird it is to need profit to incentivize this behavior anyway. There is literally unmet need. People are experiencing it. What's the problem? They don't solve it themselves. Why? Because they don't have the power to do so. Why not? Because of the consequences of a society that privileges the ultraminority over the ultramajority. What's the solution? Stop doing that and people will have the power to actually address the problems they have. How? Democratically by raising their problems and working towards a solution.

The alternative is that the only problems that entrepreneurs solve are the ones that rich people make profit from - the least democratic way of solving problems ever.

  • Do you have any idea how many more people China has compared to Vietnam? Land mass? Territorial waters? Natural resources?

That's not even considering how ideologically communist Vietnam is.

No, the only viable junior China is India right now.

But the US isn't looking for a junior China in the third world. They are looking to Canada, Mexico, and Europe as a portfolio play to replace China. They also plan to use South American third world countries for natural resources extraction. The US converting India to junior China while losing Brazil to the Chinese sphere of influence would still be devastating for the USA. The USA is looking for lebensraum.

There's no way they'll get that from any SE Asian country.

  • You miss the point. There are no other sources. Everything you have linked in this argument is traceable back to Adrian Zenz. This is why media literacy is so important. Go digging through your "news" articles and see if you can find the source for their claims. You will find that there is a massive web of "sources" that are all self referential for this particular topic and they all trace back to things published by Adrian Zenz. Zenz's original reporting has been thoroughly debunked because his reporting was bad faith speculation on cherry-picked datasets with forced interpretations. But none of the derivative articles have ever been retracted and none of have changed their position.

Dessalines is not telling you that everyone who disagrees is an anti-Semite. They are saying that all of your sources traceback to the same anti-Semite

  • There is hope. There is no hope for the empire, which is doomed, and therefore there is no hope for non-profits as such because they only exist as part of the tax structure of the empire. As the empire collapses, so will non-profits. But also so will for-profits. It's all collapsing as it fails to sustain itself.

In fact, the empire dying is the exact shape of what hope looks like.

  • That's because over population is only a problem relative to our systems of production and distribution, and focusing on overpopulation as the problem results in atrocities, violence, racism, and tyranny. There is some research out there that the actual carrying capacity of the planet is much higher than previously thought. Overpopulation isn't a problem.

  • You clearly have zero idea of the history of the Taiwan situation. The Island of Taiwan is and has been a part of the country of China for over a century. During the Chinese civil war, the losing army fled the mainland and retreated over the water to the island. The US and UK intervened with war ships and blockaded the island to protect the loser of the civil war. Why? Because the US and UK were already building relationships with the KMT to maintain their neocolonial holdings over China and they wanted the communists to lose so they could continue exploiting the people of China.

So now we have an island in China occupied by Chinese people and Chinese military but defended by Europe and what happens? Well, the KMT goes full fascist and executes the brutal and bloody White Terror for the next several decades while the US and UK protect them from their own countrymen, and feed them everything they need to develop their society on a foundation of brutal fascism and political repression.

What do you think happens when an entire population of people are isolated from their own society by abusers and develop under conditions when you get murdered by the state for even talking about the fact that you're all one China? You get the current political situation.

Taiwan as we know it is not and has never been a separate country from China. It has been a neocolonial project to isolate and abuse a portion of China by force to benefit the abuser and not the abused.

Nothing would be better for the people living on the island of Taiwan than for the Western empire to collapse and for slow integration with the rest of their country to begin. Everything would improve - economics, physical health, mental health, culture, crime, democracy, education, environmentalism, production, quality of life, etc.

  • These "land grabs" were literally Russia delivering consequences to the US for their constant escalation. The annexation of Crimea followed the Euromaidan coup that saw John McCain and Victoria Nuland on the ground and in the planning of how the far right on Ukraine would take over and set the stage for NATO nuclear capabilities coming to the Ukraine-Russia border. Joint operations between NATO and Ukraine started at the end of 2013. Over the next several years these exercises saw B-52 strategic nuclear bombers flying in Ukraine, a simulated invasion of Kaliningrad, and open ethnic cleansing of ethnic Russians in Eastern Ukraine.

Your framing of the US/West needing to "respond" to "Russian aggression" is so far removed from reality it's literally an inversion. Until you are capable of seeing the aggression of the USA, you will not be capable of analyzing what's actually happening.
