That opinion article is absolute trash.

The idea that the Bolsheviks fought to preserve the boundaries of the Tsarist empire, including invading Ukraine, is absolute nonsense. Ukraine was one the founding members of the Union and the USSR was the first formation that recognized Ukrainians as a nation and actively promoted their distinct national heritage, language, and culture.

The Bolsheviks did fight against a subset of Ukrainians, specifically the anarchists, because the anarchists literally organized an army and said "now that the Russian revolution is over they are weak and this is our time to strike". So they were crushed. But not in any way, shape, or form because of a reasserting of Tsarist imperialism.

So yes, this article is complete Western consent-manufacturing trash and can be safely ignored as such.

That's not what propaganda is. Propaganda is much much bigger than that. First, if state media is propaganda then you have to discard BBC, NPR, and Al-Jazeera, among many others.

Second, if you only look at state media you miss the decades of infiltration and manipulation of Fox, NYT, AP, and many others by state actors.

Third, if you forget how class works, you miss the centuries of propaganda produced by private media companies with leadership that collaborates with the state to maintain and expand their power.

Example, when China banned opium, it was British merchants who owned newspapers that published inflammatory stories calling for the royal Navy to intervene, this starting the Opium Wars.

You HAVE to read everything because everything is propaganda and you ARE capable of learning from it without being swayed by it.

You're psychologizing. Russia as a nation does not have a psychological need to reestablish it's former Tsarist empire. It's entire aim militarily is to prevent encirclement by the US.

To me, this is a sign that the resistance is activating in the face of greater and greater certainty that the US is about to make critical grand chessboard moves. Iran is the key position right now. If the US moves against it, we all better hope the US is the paper tiger we think it is.

Commenter wasn't saying that the point of contention was the plane type. They were saying the point of contention is that these unnamed experts claim this type of plane is often used for weapons and military persons and didn't claim any other use for what is likely the most common large air freighter in the skies.

They pay dozens of content creators to pump out content even though it's not profitable. There's not enough money in the left wing to counter that.
