  • Unfortunately it won’t. Too many people didn’t learn, and learn from, history. They’ll watch as their freedoms are eroded away in the name of “making America great,” and then cry about how everything got so bad as if they had nothing to do with it.

  • I’m actually not OK with this, TBH. First, it very much better than bending the knee, but if they’re going to impose tariffs, they need to be on the country. Plenty of democrats in those red states and plenty of republicans in blue states either will or won’t “get what they voted for.” In the end, we all should pay for this travesty.

  • Completely true. Here’s a guy who’s currently bashing the North American trade agreement that was signed under his own first administration. Simply can’t be trusted to sign a car rental contract, let alone an international agreement.

  • As an American, I hope more countries choose this path. Trump, and a large number of Americans need to understand that “American exceptionalism” only matters to (some) Americans. A community of nations means no one country gets to dictate to all the others. Eventually that isolationism some of my country clamor for will come to feel pretty lonely as fewer and fewer countries put up with our BS.

  • I think in this case, y’all is more accurate. At least to my understanding. “All y’all” is for every single person in a group, based on my understanding. “Y’all” is the group as a whole. As someone who voted against Trump twice, I’m fine being lumped in with my stupid brethren. We deserve it. But I really don’t want to be seen as one member of that stupid group or people.

Splitting hairs, I know, but what else would we do in Internet forums!?
