  • If it is a Samsung, boot into recovery mode and clear cache then optimize apps every time after a system update. It's annoying but it helps with performance and battery life (my experience is with Samsung, could be an android thing)

  • You just reminded me of my first job (call center)

My shift officially started when I logged in and set my terminal to "available"

Problem was that the parking lot was very small so sometimes I had to wait for someone to leave to be able to park, then try to find an open computer close to my area and then sometimes said computer took a long time to log off/on so by the time I could set my terminal I was already "late"

My first manager was great and I would send him an SMS as soon as I walked to the building and he would override the system if I logged in late, but my second manager told me to arrive half an hour early to avoid any issues. I quit that job shortly after that

  • I wonder how true that is for the average user

My father disabled ublock because it didn't let him use YouTube. I sent hima tutorial on how to update the list and purge the cache but it was too much work for him

  • You don't go to a concert to sit down

I hate that the pit is usually super expensive (like 3x as much as decent seats)

I sit down during seats to rest but I definitely stand up during the concert and most people do

  • Gascar

    Jump
  • I loved seeing comments from shittywatercolor, poem for your sprog (or something like that), unidan before his fall from grace and the undertaker because it usually caught me by surprise

There were a lot of others that were very boring and I would block them on RiF

  • When I got married I joined my wife's Spotify family plan so I cancelled YouTube Red (it was around the time they were killing Google music)

After the first round of ads in YouTube I decided to keep my old subscription. They even let me keep my grandfathered plan since I only lapsed for a couple of day

Also I travel a lot and download videos to watch while on the plane and I believe that's a premium feature

  • We need to test a vehicle on a dynamometer and to get the transmission into dyno mode it was something like that, press brake 3 times, press the button on the shift selector twice, move to neutral then reverse 3 times, etc, it was a super long combo. It was so satisfying to see the CAN message that we entered test mode
