Zelda TotK and I just love how I run around the most random places and there‘s an activity there (like the sign support dude) lol, it gives the completionist in me anxiety though. Still not a fan of the glass weapon system, it just makes me not use the good stuff. Hope there‘ll be a version with better image quality and framerate in the future, maybe a bit crisper textures too. The game deserves it.
Open-world action RPGs? Elden Ring for instance, or modern Zelda games. 3D Soul-likes if you want to stretch the definition. I‘d go as far as to say it’s my favorite genre.
I guess „open world“ action RPGs a la Dark Souls, extra points for anime style and if it‘s not super dark and depressing to play. Ordered Zelda Tears of the Kingdom and I’m looking forward to that.
My hot take: Skyrim is the most overrated game of all time. Not bad, but overrated. My phone hardcrashed while I typed out the reasons why I think so, so I won‘t anger the gaming gods further this time.
I still remember how I found pressing a button at the right time in combat for more damage was mindblowing and super engaging lol, I wonder if I‘d still like it today
Is that new? I tried how it runs on the Switch a couple years ago and when I started it up, I saw a couple people jerk off in chat about how it‘s nice not to have to deal with the other console people lol, I thought it‘s seperate.
I‘m playing pretty old games all the time that have been sitting in my library. I hardly even buy new ones these days cause… why? I‘m sitting on a ton already lol
Big upside: They run smooth as butter on my modern PC up to 4K even.
I think it‘s good to grow. Lemmy (or the Fediverse, I suppose?) should be as inclusive, convenient, and engaging as can be. It has only just started (in my opinion), we‘ll see how it goes. I like it here so far, feels like people are less prone to jump at your throat for voicing a (harmless) opinion.
I can‘t tell you since I also disagree. I did basically the same thing I did on Reddit, I only got thrown off seeing multiple „subs“ with the same name.
Some people complained how complicated „explanations“ are. I saw these types of comments on the Reddit Alternatives sub.
I think you‘re onto something. I read a lot of comments of people thinking the fediverse is too complicated to deal with and while I disagree - but also think it has issues - there does seem to be a barrier of entry for a good portion of people in the form of „inconvenience.“ So whoever is here really wants to be here and not just be an anonymous arse. I don‘t think you gotta be particularly smart, you gotta step out of your comfort zone.
N64. Apart from the usual suspects (Mario 64, Wave Race, Pilot Wings, Golden Eye, Dark Project), Mystical Ninja Starring Goemon still feels like I fever dreamed that crazy ass game up. It also had the only wrestling game I ever liked, but forgot the name.
Sleeping Dogs pulled me in real hard. I‘m super salty there‘s no Sleeping Dogs 2, I loved everything about this game.
If any of you like GTA style gameplay, Sleeping Dogs is that plus kung fu movie flair (even has a cheesy king fu story DLC).
Nioh, Nioh 2, Code Vein, Dark Souls 2 (I know), Fairy Fencer F, and Ni no Kuni 2 also put me in chains. Crusader Kings III has no real story but it made so many evenings disappear that I try to legit stay away from it lol
