Same, but it was my first FROMSOFT launch game with absolute bustling multiplayer activity so I know I‘m biased lol, it‘s even my fav. Had an absolutely based 2H faith build.
The thing that made me reconsider buying one is the screen. Make an OLED version and I‘m gonna get one. I‘m not worried about the performance, I‘d get a deck for stuff like Dead Cells and Spelunky, not for stuff like Cyberpunk.
If they made an OLED version and offered replacement screens for burn-in cases in x years, that‘d be absolutely amazing.
The weapon breaking is annoying, even in TotK still. It‘d be more bearable if you could at least repair broken stuff at a blacksmith or something, but as it is, I’m scared to lose my cool stuff to a buncha gremlins. So I‘m hoarding the good stuff and cope with poor throw-away weapons…
It‘s a bit like the „elixiers“ situation in old FF games: Game‘s over and you have 22 unused elixiers you saved for when you really need them.
I absolutely loved Pokemon USUM‘s OST and was heartbroken when I found out the OST release was just like 1 minute long tracks that you couldn‘t easily loop (obviously it looped infinitely ingame)
I‘m legit happy as long as it can do 720p60fps for stuff like TotK in portable without any upsampling and whatnot.
I‘m not playing Nintendo cause of cutting edge graphics but because of cutting edge gameplay and entertainment. Doesn‘t matter how realistic a game looks when Mario Odyssey runs laps around it in terms of the fun it provides.
Just… provide backwards compatability, please. And as a bonus I‘d love a way for „old“ games to get better resolution and fps ideally without patches (cause we know the majority of games would never get patched).
Curious, exactly the opposite for me. The direct battles in the sequel did it way more for me than the pokemon mechanic in the prequel. Absolutely loved the sequel, great art style (apart from the „clay/plastic“ overworld). I thought the prequel was alright but it didn‘t have me glued to the screen.
That game was probably my biggest surprise in the last decade, I expected nothing and got one of my top 5 videogame stories and atmospheres of all time. The game does so much with so little. Couldn‘t warm up to the battles though lol
Dunno how anyone who likes JRPGs could play the first game and be like „you know what, I don‘t need to play the sequel.“
I felt the same until I modded the shite out of Skyrim this year and now my mod list hit critical mass and I‘m having an absolute blast with it. Starfield runs worse and looks worse for me so that game needs some time in the patch and mod oven before I dive into it… I‘m patient.
Please backwards compatible, please OLED, please enough power to 720p60fps everything natively (no upscaling, cause that sucks on such low res, Idm 4k upscaling).
1080p60fps on portable would be a dream but I‘m not that delusional.
I‘d also be hyped if they could offer joycons that make it usable for extended amounts of time in portable without destroying my hands or having to rely on third party cases.
I‘m so tempted to just be part of the Starfield start hype but… let‘s be honest, it‘s a Bethesda game so it probably needs another year of patches and mods.
And Baldur‘s Gate seems to also require a few patches and I‘m not paying more than 40 bucks for any digital copy of a game, even if it‘s the second coming of Christ among videogames.
Cyberpunk I‘m merely waiting to have a PC that is powerful enough to play it in all its glory. So probably gotta wait half a decade lol
Obviously, on top of my mentioned reasons, it‘s not like I don‘t have 100+ untouched games dozens of them critically acclaimed, so it’s not like I’m just staring at my wall waiting for my moment to strike lol
