  • And it's about a home other people don't respect. I've known Appalachians and folks from the deep south who're great people but folks hear their voices and assume the worst. There's some real awesome folks down in Alabama, 8tsbu7e5 that the ones in charge are real pieces of shit.

  • Bodhisattva, not a Buddha. A Buddha has escaped samsara, a bodhisattva is usually holding off on finishing enlightenment in the hopes of helping others attain it, though others are just on the verge of it.

Siddhartha Gautama was born a bodhisattva, but became a Buddha when he achieved enlightenment, at which point he wasn't reborn.

This means that what the Dalai Lama is saying is ultimately that he's either continuing to forgo enlightenment or that he has accepted that it hasn't come in this lifetime. If he had it would've been a big deal in his school of Buddhism and all that recognize him as the bodhisattva he claims to be. Like, an astronomically big deal.

  • Rhode Island isn't a landmass. It's a political division. Europe is large for everything but continents. But it's a moderately sized peninsula on the Eurasian continent.

Nobody is claiming it's small like Luxembourg, we're saying its small like India (yes I know its 3x the size of india)

  • Agreed but they'll need out of this wave of fascism first.

I sincerely hope the whole world turns against the US-Russian axis of fascism. But y'all will have to do some doing to get there.

I sincerely hope this is the world's last go around with fascism but I'm not so delusional as to think it the case. But I am delusional enough to think maybe someday it will be. Maybe someday we'll win.
