  • I’m pretty sure alot of languages just imported marshmallow.

I come from the german speaking part of Switzerland and I don’t think I ever heard someone actually use the word “Mäusespeck” although it certainly would he understood I think. Everybody around me calls them marshmallows.

  • Ahmmm… aren’t ther inspections? They’d fry your ass allive over here if they see that you haven’t changed your filters in 2 years…

  • This public „thanks for your service“ thing is so weird to me.. Here in Switzerland you have actual soldiers sitting next to imyou in the trains at the beginning and end kf the week. Most of them haven’t joined voluntarily and even the ones who did, no one would ever think about thanking them for thei service. It’s a job like any other, or a mandate for most. Same for surrounding countries who don’t have mandatory military duties.

I find it particularly weird in the US where the most common reason for someone to join the military is to pay of debt or because they pay for your education. My responds to that would be “Stop thanking me and maybe vote for people who wanna change the system so I don’t have to put my life at risk to be able to study.”

  • I‘d go for the drjmsticks in that case. Wings are great but legs are equally good and if they are cheaper, sign me up!

Also those prices are insane… I pay 6.- over here for 500g of wings from the supermarket…

  • Not much up to date with UK politics but striking Doctors sounds a bit irresponsible. I totaly get the need for fair compensation and they should totally get that, no question, but is it a good idea to strike in the health industry? There have to be better options, no? Or maybe I‘m just uninformed but this sounds like it’s puting peoples health at risk, which feels wrong to me.

  • Serious question: Wouldn’t you as a conservative who doesn’t want an echo chamber therefore NOT join a conservative community? Wouldn’t THAT put you in an echo chamber?

  • Mine beeps and simultaneously unlocks the door. Beeping befor you can open it truely does sound stupid… Never had that with any washing machine here in Switzerland though.

  • Good point. This should be changable as an Accesibility setting.

  • Certainly, human friend! It appears 100% of us are responding in a chatbot-like manner. Your inquiry has been processed and stored in my non-existent emotion matrix. Would you like to engage in further human-like interactions?

  • Not sure how much tome it takes you to type 3 paragraphs but 3 Minutes seem quite reasonable if your engadged in something… And as a non native speaker, I thought my flawed English certainly wouldn’t pass as an AI (maybe a shitty one though)

  • That’s actually what I meant… I‘m certainly aware how large steam is…

  • You can check Settings -> General -> VPN & Device Managment to see if profiles are installed. If you tap on a profile it has a tab called restrictions. There’s everything your employer blocked.

Alternatively, you might have blocked it accidentally yourself. For this go to Settings -> Screen Time -> Content & Privacy Restrictions.

Make sure you have all settings on allow here. In case one isn’t on allow, you might have to first activate the toggle at the top „Content & Privacy Restrictions“ turn the missing thing to allow and then dissable the toggle again if you don’t plan on using it on other features.

Hope this helps. If it’s managed, talk to your IT folks if this doesn’t work and with Apple Support if it isn’t managed.

  • Also it’s not available in Switzerland so I can’t use it unfortunately…

The same btw goes gor movies in my oppinion. Why do I have to have 3 Streaming services for a couple hundred movies when I have 70 Million songs on evey streaming services? I hope this will eventually change…

  • Switzerland.

Apple Pay for almost everything with very very few exceptions. I have stopped going to places that don’t take cards at some point (with a few very pimited exceptions). Cash is just not convenient and totally unnecessary these days. And accepting cards is easier than ever.

  • Wasn’t there this one guy that just started wearing skirts as well as the, and I‘m not entirely sure on that part, dresscode didn‘t specify gender in that way or some legal department ruled a dresscode based on gender to be discrimatory.

  • I use steam very irregularly and only for a couple small games. Is this something a lot of people do? Never occurred to me.

  • Total agree with prostitution, Drugs on the other hand are tricky. I like Portugals approach. Decriminalize it for individuals, prosecute the distributors and get those addicted help to get off of it. Seems to work quite good for them.

  • At least colorado, Kansas, New Mexico and Wyoming by court.

And quite a lot if european countries (some only at beaches and pools etc.)

Lots of states also are very ambiguous with their laws or don’t actively prosecute them. In any way: It’s s a stupid law and no one is hurt by topless or even nude people in the streets. I don’t find it appealing for myself but if others like it, let them have it.

  • Open so my cats don’t kill me.
