In the grand scheme of things, not paying taxes is also a pretty miniscule thing. The US funding for Israel is pretty big though. If they needed more weapons that your tax dollars would have paid for, I'd guess the tax dollars you paid in the US would go to the same place. I guess the alternative is to live in not-US and not-Israel. But either way, I think the US would just fork up more money anyway.

But the main point I'm making is, bad people will find a way to do bad things. The best way to eliminate bad people is to change their minds.

Ultimately a society is composed of many individuals. We all play a small part in its change.

Ah, interesting. So is the difference that a true AI would understand how to use the scientific method to test inputs?

I mean, isn't garbage in garbage out also true of humans?

What do you need the terminal for?

There are some little things / low hanging fruit that I personally find very annoying, and don't know why they haven't addressed yet. Average users coming from Mac or Windows notice these things easily and will immediately write off Linux as being janky when they run into them. Most Linux users I see are fairly apologetic about the rough edges since 1. they know how to figure out how to fix them, and 2. believe in the principles of FOSS.

Ubuntu and it's spin-offs are really are as close as we're ever going to get to a full, user-friendly Linux OS

Why do you think it will not progress much from now on?

You don't need to use the terminal for Linux at all now AFAIK. Ubuntu / GNOME already has a nice software store as a UI.

There are some rough edges I really don't understand why they haven't addressed yet that seem like very low hanging fruit, but overall IMO it's very close to being there.

US is doing that with TikTok already. The government can snap their fingers and ban / break up companies at the drop of a hat if they want.

Either way, it's pretty useful to communicate this to everyone else.
