  • You can disagree with me all you want. You’re extremely misinformed, though. An entire life of propaganda made you believe some weird shit, but socialism is unequivocally about wealth distribution and liberalism is undoubtedly right-wing.

I didn’t understand your comment about local politics. Mostly because you can’t possibly know where i’m from, and calling the left ‘wealthy fuckwads’ is just bizarre.

  • No. I’ve read enough theory to know that the left understands the world as a struggle between two classes: capitalists and workers.

The right believes in meritocracy, the invisible hand of the market, and risking capital as the most valuable asset.

Of course there are poor people leaning right. There is not a single leftist billionaire, though.

…oh, and in case you’re from the United States (you act as if you were): Both of your political parties are right-wing. Your ‘radical leftist politicians’ are centrists at best. Right-wingers don’t become leftists because they’re ok with giving some human rights to the population.

  • I think they’ll just improve their MagSafe cable capabilities to try and get customers to buy that instead of the regular usb-c cable. But the rumor always sounded like bs to me. It’s just too on the nose.

  • Lemmy.world has been unreliable in the past couple of weeks. They’ve been constantly under attack and has higher than normal downtimes. Most likely the bot tried to post when the site was down.

  • Hi Rom. Fortunately the case I was experiencing (advertising and spam) was solved by admins quite fast, but you should write an email to Info@mastodon.world explaining the situation.

I agree that there should be a way to report directly in the platform, but this is just getting started.

  • Thanks. I stumbled across an instance that’s bot-posting in communities for each state, they’re basically scraping local news and posting them, which is incredibly annoying and destroys the possibility of sorting All by new.

That in itself isn’t rule breaking, just annoying, but the instance has communities which are sort of like travel agency bs, with straight up ads for hotels, plane tickets, and other services. I think they must’ve made like 300 posts in two or three hours, so they completely took over the feed.

I already reported the ones I found that are obviously spam/ads and blocked all the communities I found from that instance to have a decent user experience again

  • I just noticed I’m an iOS version behind, so that may be it. I believe it was released this week. I’m on 16.5.1 instead of 16.6. Will edit this comment after updating to see if that does it.

    Edit: Nothing changed.
