  • Hey @aeharding

I found a bug but neither a screenshot nor a video would show it. Let me explain:

I opened a post in this community (title: Can’t save images by long pressing) that was short and had very few comments, making the entire content fit exactly inside the screen, almost exactly. On a regular/longer post, I can pull to refresh, but in this case it seems like scrolling is completely disabled. No matter how much I try to swipe up or down, the whole thing is static. it works in the PWA, though.

I also think it’s lacking a bit of padding between the last comment and the tabs at the bottom, but that’s also happening in the PWA, so I guess it’s not app related.

Great work overall! Hope this helps

  • Came to comment this. The back swipe then scroll freeze issue isn’t fixed at all to me. I can replicate the bug every time. The only two reasons for me to use this over the PWA for now are haptics and scroll to top. Hopefully this opens the door to push notifications in the future.

  • His lies caught up to him. From his ridiculous tunnels, his crypto pump and dump scam, his robotaxis, to taking humanity to Mars. The lies just collapsed and revealed they were empty promises all along. Hell, even his solar panels were a trick, and the goddamn truck. Not to mention the FSD that will never really work as promised because the tech just isn’t there.

  • I once helped my niece set up her Android phone. That’s the only time i’ve used an Android phone for over 2 minutes.

But hey, at least Android is customizable to the point of maybe getting a version with no gestures. I just can’t imagine what that means anyway. Scrolling by tapping arrows…? Zooming in by tapping on a magnifying glass? Gestures are the way we interact with screens.

  • The answer is not as obvious. Those that don’t use Signal may use Whatsapp, Telegram, Instagram DMs, Google Chat, even Slack or Discord.

Sending SMS is like using a fax at this point. It’s ridiculous to even consider doing it.

The state of messaging in the US is absurd and only explained by this kind of behavior. The rest of the world moved on from SMS over a decade ago and have zero issues communicating with people no matter what OS their device has.

  • You call the man a marketing genius while simultaneously believing all marketing is just a grift. Why would you use such an honorable term to refer to him instead of just calling him a genius grifter, then?

My man, just don’t use the word marketing for things that are not marketing. It’s not hard, specially if you believe they’re synonyms. Use grifting instead.

  • Questionable/suspicious/false. He’s saying he doesn’t believe in the news piece, or at least not fully believe.

imo, he’s just trying to look smart by questioning researchers in an ambiguous manner.

  • Marketing geniuses are people who take real assets of a brand and find just the right angle to connect with the masses. They create sustainable growth and generate almost endless demand for their products and services.

Elon Musk is a grifter and a charlatan who fed mediocre journalists with empty promises to regurgitate to investors. Even Elizabeth Holmes was able to pull that off.

When journalists saw through him, he switched to lying to cryptobros on social media. Then that well dried up as well, and now he’s pandering to insane alt-righters.

Every audience is less wealthy and less relevant than the previous one.

Just like all charlatans, he’s getting cornered by his own lies and unrealistic expectations. And he’s running out of options.

tl;dr Con men are not marketing geniuses, they are con men.
