With the amount of funding US schools get, they're glorified daycare centers so making them 4 day weeks is a good way to keep the poorer parents reallll poor. This lady is lucky shes got a 13 year old, because you're not leaving that 7 year old alone without fucking them up either mentally or physically.

Id probably hate the IRS too if I had to justify spending tax dollars on military hand me downs like I'm at war with the populations I'm supposed to protect and serve.

Yeah in the start they literally say median rent is 2 dollars lower than the record high which was set last year so with a paywall in front of it its basically misinformation by insuring most people only see the headline.

Best bet is to check local elections and hope the trend moves upwards. Something tells me dems are more likely to support it, but many only will if they're not winning enough elections. If people see local elections being swayed and/or ranked choice or instant runoff voting being a wedge issues, that's about the best I can imagine actually happening.

Its never gonna happen before the next election, and the next election will always be the most important, so unless you start voting for people who support it, the cycle will continue.

I've moved on to DnD style ethics, if something bad happens to someone whos evil aligned, that action is a good action. Please explain to me how a 20,000 person job training program compares to the actual New Deal. We've had job training pograms before, they don't get compared to the new deal simply because they are job training programs. If someone cant see the bias in trying to invoke feeling of the new deal on a training program that gives the trainees no real power over carbon emitters, just resume lines, then they need to learn more history than I have time to tell.
