“we have not gotten a warm reception to that idea.”
Well... yeah, because of gerrymandering you outnumber them nearly two to one, despite receiving roughly the same amount of votes. If it were put to a legislative vote you'd make it even more unbalanced.
If you need medical help... why aren't you accepting that help? Medication is often a part of that help. If you have problems with the medication, you should talk with your doctor, not act like a petulant child.
You also specifically said it was just part of their long term support. Why is it such an emergency that we provide those weapons now if it's little more than a token gesture?
Oh, I'd bet they'd totally have an effect if they weren't vetoed.
If countries want to do something, they don't need the UN for it. The UN is literally just the accumulated efforts of all the countries that are part of it.
If they actually wanted to do something, the US saying "lol nah" shouldn't stop them.
You know why it's this way? Because people like you would rather abstain from the process than try and improve it.
The system sucks, most everyone can agree on that. But refusing to participate just makes it worse, not better. And all the people who feel the only recourse is open rebellion have about as much chance of succeeding as all the other militia groups who sit in their compounds fuming at the state of things they've done nothing to improve.
I hope stewing in your own pride feels good as the world burns around you.
Did you complain about "I can haz" too? It's a meme not a book report.
