  • Same machine, but even with the desire to upgrade, it just seems like Apple themselves don't want me to.

A MacBook Air M1, with the upgraded 8-Core CPU, 16gb ram and 512Gb storage ran me just shy of £1400 2 years ago and has been an excellent device for all my needs.

A similarly specced M2 machine is closer to £1700, and that's not even the 15in model! Why would I upgrade when the price increase is so drastic? I would've happily sold my current MacBook Air and considered the 15in Air, but it simply doesn't add up.

The base M1 Air as you and many others said, is already such a powerful machine that it really doesn't need updating, especially when you consider that subsequent machines don't provide a meaningful boost to productivity from M1 to M2, as intel to M1 did.

  • Sure, but there are rules of engagement. International law does not condone indiscriminate bombings. They want to kill as many people as possible with each strike.

They want to kill children. There's really no other conclusion when you look at the numbers.

  • That's not what this is about at all. You're missing the entire point.

The only thing being discussed is the amount of time you had to yourself with a school schedule, versus how little time you have to yourself on a work schedule. That's it.

They're not talking about literally being back in school. They're not talking about bullying, homework, taking classes etc. They're not talking about not having money or being dependent on your parents. They're not talking about Mr Jones from Biology who wouldn't stop shouting at kids.

Reading comprehension, however, is something that's worth remembering from those days.

  • Well I'm going to get a tiny bit of hate for this

Ha, well at least you're aware.

both her and the killer went to live on the graves of the Native Americans who were genocided to free that land. So maybe it's not entirely as innocent as you describe it

Neither her or the scum that killed her child were responsible for the Genocide of the Native Americans.

A lady escaped the hell of Palestine and ended up losing her child in a horrific and extremely violent murder. This is not the time to mention the Natives. The only people who need to hear about them are the people choosing to govern the nation.

  • Find someone important in your life. It doesn't have to be a spouse. It can be a friend, family, even a pet.

It's an incredible feeling to get approval and validation from people who think you're a significant part of their world.

  • There's no need to prove stuff like this to anyone. People nowadays need to feel validated by putting everything out on social media and being bathed in positive feedback.

Putting your bank balance out there for clout just draws attention to places it doesn't need to be drawn to. Let haters hate! If you enjoy what you do and get paid for it, then no amount of hateful comments should slow you down.

  • I'm so bored of people like you.

It's like when a child grabs a pair of scissors and you need to politely educate them that it's dangerous. We're bored of it too, trust me. But we keep doing it because it saves lives.

Like you say, COVID is weaker

It is weaker. Precisely because of the efforts of governments to isolate, observe social distancing and wear masks. If they'd done a better job to address it sooner, and if people like you chose being mildly inconvenienced over saving lives, who knows? COVID might have been eradicated altogether.

yet you're linking the death toll from when it was actually a serious problem as though that applies today in equal measure.

I'm simply highlighting the fact that it's not a mild illness. People who are older, and those whose immune systems are weakened due to other diseases e.g. cancer are absolutely still dying of COVID. We're in flu season, going into a cold winter. The governments aren't enforcing lockdown and isolating and aren't reporting the rise in COVID cases. Go to any hospital and ask them how bad it is already. People are still dying my dude.

At the height of COVID, there were people hooked up to respirators, still absolutely defiant that COVID even existed, refusing the vaccine even as it took their lives. Death by stupidity. I still can't believe people like you exist. Take the virus seriously and it'll disappear. Ignore it and governments will be forced to enforce lockdown again.

  • mild virus.

My ignorant internet friend. 3 million dead people would disagree..

All the science is there. All the evidence that isolating works is there. All the evidence that COVID is killing people, especially the vulnerable, is there. What part of this don't you get? The only reason COVID is weaker now is precisely because people isolated and let those strains die out.

But because you're mildly inconvenienced, it's somehow a massive conspiracy. Stop being a drone and read up on it. Use your head and take things seriously. It's so exhausting to convince people their ignorance will literally kill people.

  • Holy moly that's a bold statement!!

If that's what it takes for Israel to have paid enough then why isn't it enough for Palestine to deal with this extremely exaggerated offensive after decades of having their homes stolen and families murdered? Sure, Israel absolutely paid a heavy price. But at the hands of Israel, this has been daily life in Palestine for decades.

And international law doesn't matter? When has it mattered at all to Israel what international law is? The international laws it's broken in the last week alone is absolutely horrific.

If you're really unbiased, please take a look at what Israel is really doing. What they're doing is genocide. It's ethnic cleansing. It's apartheid. After WWII, you'd think that Israel would know better than anyone how horrifying those words are, and vow to never have such words repeated, let alone be the ones committing them.

  • Leliana's French-ish accent is all I remember from that game. It's a shame she was almost nonexistent in subsequent games. Mass effect fully brought back recurring romanceable characters so you could continue role playing.

Origins remains my favourite Dragon age game to date. I really hope the next one is a return to form!

  • Obviously there will be some civil cases if there is a war.

Then why is Hamas the only side being classified as a terrorist organisation? If Hamas does it, they're terrorists. If Israel does it, then "obviously there will be some civil cases because war!". Seriously?

But again, the war would not be the case if Hamas (which is btw considered a terrorist organization by both EU and other states), didn't start a war.

If Hamas didn't start it? Are you insane?

Are they supposed to tolerate this bullshit forever?

How many children need to die before you start being realistic about what's happening here?

How exactly is israel attacking civilians living in Gaza? Did they start shooting people in Gaza for no reason?

Uhh, yes? For years and years! In the correct war, It's not exactly hard to find evidence of children being murdered.

They're bombing people on the safe routes they designated for civilians

And deliberately shot at medical services to let the injured civilians die..

There's so, so much more, including the use of white phosphorus, dropping 6000 bombs on densely populated residential zones with refugees, and gave a ridiculous order to evacuate that is a death sentence to the most vulnerable, and shut off water to starve civilians already fighting for their lives.

    Make excuses for the above.

Is it Israel or Hamas who purposefully uses civilians as a shield and builds buildings for the army in the middle of inhibited zones?

That's your defense? Do I approve of Hamas? No. Of course not. But there's no way you can condemn Hamas' actions whilst condoning Israel's.

Hamas exists because one of the the most densely populated places on earth is also the world's largest open air prison in an apartheid state witnessing a genocide. Everyone fighting for Hamas was born into this hell and grew up seeing their homes taken or destroyed, their families murdered and any chance for peace squandered. Israel created Hamas, and is absolutely loving the current situation that has given them a free ticket to grab half of Gaza with the rest of the world's support.

And Egypt warned Israel of the attack. , confirmed by the US. You would think that there would be an extra strong line of defence by Israel at the time, but they were caught completely off guard. It just doesn't make sense unless they wanted it. And look at who benefits from this. Hamas gains nothing. Palestine gains nothing. Israel gains more land that they've been promising to take.

  • A 6 year old was stabbed 26 times.

    #26 TIMES!!!

I have a nephew around that age. He fell off his bike 2 weeks ago and cried his eyes out because he scraped his knee on the road.

The fact that the coward is so old too. He lived a full life. Whether he lives or does in prison is irrelevant. No matter what his punishment is, it's unjustified.

26 times man. The poor mom. Fuck, imagine escaping the hell in Palestine, thinking you've finally made it and can actually make a life in the US, and this is what you get. Life is so incredibly unfair for some. That's what conservatives don't understand. They simply cannot fathom any scenario that doesn't affect them personally.

  • Terrorist
    noun
a person who uses unlawful violence and intimidation, especially against civilians, in the pursuit of political aims.

Are the Israelis using violence and intimidation? Yes.

Are they using it against civilians? Yes.

Is it in pursuit of political aims? Absolutely.

Then by definition, Israel is a terrorist state.

  • So what did international law due to punish them ? Nothing ?

I think allowing the fourth largest military power in the world to drop hundreds of bombs, kill civilians - many of them children, and force them to flee from their homes so they can grab even more land, and still have nations within the UN who are punished for even trying to speak out against it is plenty.

How much more do you want?

The fact that Israel has gone this far isn't enough for you? Is genocide really where you'll call it even?
