  • He's not wrong. Focusing on getting out large established titles is what Microsoft was doing during the 2010s, and they have fallen because of that. They have moved towards having more smaller titles, but it hasn't paid off quite yet.

  • Google has one advantage over other Android device makers. They make profit off of the Play Store at a much higher rate than they do from hardware sales. If this change brings more people over from iOS to Android, it will be an overall win for them.

  • Nvidia is fine on Arch, the drivers are in the base repositories.

For tutorials, the Arch Wiki is one of the best resources for Linux. If you are unsure how to do something, there is likely an article that states how to do it.

If you are unsure, I would install Arch in a VM before swapping.

  • I will be in my own bubble playing the game. Not looking at social media, just focused on the game.

  • Why would they need to release a new console for game streaming? The advantage is that it can run on anything. It would also guarantee that Sony wins that generation before it even begins.

  • Your post makes it sound like you want to make a swap from a 1660 to something with similar power on the AMD side, not upgrading. If you want something cheap from AMD, the 6600 would be a decent power bump for not too much.

  • I made the swap from Nvidia to AMD without getting a more powerful card. It just isn't worth it. Sure, the fact that I can use Wayland and open source drivers is nice, but you don't gain any extra performance. I would wait until you are ready to upgrade your card and just get and AMD card at that point.

  • Looking into privacytests.org, the main developer behind it is someone who contributes to Brave source code. He may not be officially affiliated with the company, but it would be hard to ignore any sort of bias towards Brave.

  • I've been doing Security+ training and they have you do everything as root, which goes against the very principle of least privilege.

  • If the email application is a flatpak, then it might not have permission. You could use FlatSeal to provide access to the directory where your network share is mounted for that specific application.

  • I wish they would have at least gone with the 8 Gen 1+. I'm curious to see how much this costs, because it seems to have a lot of good stuff included.

  • They may not host it on their store, but they still allow you to play through steam.

  • Performance is the same regardless.

  • Good to see that it will allow integration with other password managers, not just Google's. Hoping to see support from Bitwarden.

  • Native Linux support and Steam Deck Verified. Maybe it can replace Brotato as my main time waster on the Deck.

  • I use sync for bookmarks and sending links berween devices. I could work around not having the latter, but are there any good options for keeping bookmarks synced between computers?

  • Probably more Nvidia users than you think. I was on Nvidia originally since I built my computer with Windows in mind.
