  • WSL2 is faster than WSL1.

WSL2 can be slower if you are modifying Windows files as opposed to the files in the WSL system.

  • Isn't the biggest issue with distribution? I asked to get the shot last month along with my flu shot at my doctor's and they weren't given any.

  • I think that a lab grown organ will be better in the long run. You know that the organ will work with humans and you don't have to sacrifice an animal to get the organ.

  • I've used a few controllers. Generally, controllers with direct input have worked the best. My favorite controller to use is the Dual Sense controller(PS5). The Switch controller also works right out of the box. Xbox controllers seem to be hit and miss. If you do want an Xbox style controller, consider the 8bit-do ultimate controller, as it has a dinput mode. Avoid the Bluetooth variant, as the 2.4ghz mode is xinput only.

  • I feel like they could have avoided this problem by not requiring a remake of a 25 year old game not require an always online connection.

  • The first link is the correct way.

  • World of Warcraft. Starting out in an MMO for the first time is magical. No worries about the endgame, just the desire to explore and learn.

  • Plenty of developers prefer Macs to anything else. Forcing developers to use Macs for iOS development isn't okay though.

  • With Diablo IV arriving soon, I wouldn't be surprised to see most, if not all of their games on Steam over the next few years.

    • Automatic Love - The distortion effect caused by talking to Johnny and selecting a specific dialogue option at the end of the quest will no longer persist on the screen.

This bug was driving me crazy. I am glad they finally fixed it

  • Probably not. I only got thru the first act, game just isn't for me.

  • Overwatch on Steam does not require b.net, so I do not see why it wouldn't be the case with their other titles.

I do agree with having to repurchase. I don't really play D4, so I might just wait for a big sale if I do go with a repurchase.

  • According to Wikipedia, he lost the primary in his own district when he was house majority speaker. First in history to do so.

  • I swapped because I did not like the direction that Microsoft is taking Windows. It felt like just more tracking, more ads, and less control with each iteration. I always felt like Linux was better, but did not meet my need for gaming. The steam deck came out just a few months before I switched, giving me the confidence that I would still be able to play the games that I enjoy.

  • They can offer a better screen without changing resolution. Better color accuracy, VRR, and maybe OLED would improve the screen without changing the performance target.

  • Launcher works on my system, just a major annoyance to navigate with the track pads.

  • It's been running great on ChimeraOS for me. Definitely need to add --launcher-skip for any gamepad based systems.

  • As other's have suggested, PopOS is pretty good. I would also consider Nobara as well. It's based on Fedora with plenty of tweaks that makes it much better for gaming. It also has the ability to quickly install NVIDIA drivers. after the first login.
