  • Burnout 3 absolutely. Paradise was a great game but it's format shift to open world effectively killed the series. Also made races really repetitive since they always went to the same places and you didn't have an incentive to explore the rest of the map, which was full of really cool stuff like the quarry and train lines...

Anyway Burnout 3 is just the perfection of the classic formula. Shoutouts to Revenge for the traffic check mechanic and the cool new car designs.

  • Doom. I have 30 years of custom maps that I'll probably never finish playing. Assetto Corsa, also with mods, I can drive and race any sort of car I can think of. And Monster Hunter. I guess I'd take either 4 Ultimate or Generations Ultimate. In 4U alone I have 1,000 hours.

  • Aaaaand there it is, why they delisted the old games, they want us to buy the new version instead!

  • I have gotten back into non-patiently playing Helldivers, but I think I'll spend the weekend playing Hex of Steel, CtA:Gates of Hell and Dawn of War:Soulstorm with thr Unification mod, same as I've been doing all week.

Well that, and watching the 24h of Le Mans race, this saturday!

  • Same for me. There are some interests I have (mostly niche games) that just don't have the population to have any sort of traction here. I don't comment or vote there anymore, and I'm only still logged in on my main PCs because I didn't bother logging out. Deleted all my old comments and posts.

  • I played a lot of the old TDU and the Nacon WRC Games. Long story short, the way they handled Generations, that was supposed to be their last hurrah with the franchise, was so bad, that I completely gave up hope on Solar Crown being good. And I've been having the live service hell feelings about it for a while too.

  • I really wanted to have hope but I knew in the back of my mind to not trust Gearbox.

  • Until Google realizes normal.people would rather use this than take part in their AI search, and block usage of it outside of businesses.

  • This one is even better! Lmao

  • Was anyone even still inetested in this? All hype has died and it's still a Ubishit product.

  • Growing up in a 3rd world country. When my father gave me a PS2 it was hacked to play pirated games. We also burned CDs on our PC before that.

  • Bought it on sale earlier this year alongside Palworld and Helldivers 2. You might notice why I still haven't started it.

  • I had a sudden urge to look into TERA Online private servers, downloaded 100GB of custom game clients... And that somehow resulted in me getting back into playing Grim Dawn. This time I want to play it enough to really learn it and actually finish the game.

  • They're simple to get into for anyone with an introductory interest in Linux, although I haven't liked Ubuntu in ages. My Mint setup took a bit of effort but it does game pretty well. Fedora could be a good recommendation too, I liked that when I tried it out. There's some gaming focused distros like Bazzite or Nobara, but I feel like I can get a "normal" distro working to a similar state for games, and I don't have to hope that a small team doesn't fold and my distro loses updates support.

I'm trying out OpenSUSE Tumbleweed this week, wanna see if it's a good alternative to Fedora.

I don't dare try Arch yet, and thus I also wouldn't recommend it to any new user.

  • No no no no stop talking about it, quick before the Nintendo lawyers show up!!

  • I mean even without that slip up the rest of the message still gives them away. Who the fuck would say that without being a vatnik shill.

  • The golden days of Ultimate-Guitar uaer submitted tabs and pirated Guitar Pro 5 (which my guitar teacher gave to me on a burned CD) Good times.

  • Open a ticket with support where an actual human will read it. The automated refund tool will always deny it.

  • Dunno, but graphics drivers stopped working again! Go reinstall them!
