  • This is why I think immortality would be the worst thing for humanity. You gotta reformat and reinstall to clean out the cruft.

  • Yeah recently starting using this and it's excellent, no more manually trying to skip over yet another nordvpn sponsor monologue

  • I learned way more history from video games then I ever learned from school

  • You should cut off the hotdog anuses before you cook them.

  • Hopefully all the different clients will soon support good blocking. With connect for android I can block instances and keywords, but I most just continually block on a community basis what I don't want to see from All. I'm sure there are hundreds in there. This keeps it quite relevant for me but I'm still in the flow of seeing new subs. I do subscribe to all the ones I really like.

So it's a curation process, but a more active one vs trying to hunt subs down like I used to do with Reddit.

  • Thunderbird is a Mozilla project tho?

  • I learned most of my Linux skills by starting with Gentoo in the early 2000s after only using Unix and redhat since about '96.

If someone really truly wants to learn Linux (sysadmin types) I tell them to start with Gentoo, not Mint. You don't learn anything when everything has been dumbed down or obfuscated from you.

I couldn't have asked for a better distro to learn on, and I've been thinking about going back.

  • That is insane the amount of info given. I had no idea. Thanks for the website

  • I have this too, I figure it's just a visual / cache related bug. I don't bother reupvoting, if I come back later or stop and restart the app it's there.

It even happens with the same post, like if you upvote from the feed and then open the post it doesn't show as upvoted.

  • Ideally we would have an ad blocker that interacts with the ads themselves in background.

  • Lmao those are some sharp edges

  • Or you could brush your teeth at work and get paid at the same time 😁

  • Not OP but I use yt-dlp on a cron schedule to run once a day, and just have all the channels I want to follow in a text file that it processes. Been using this for years now (YouTubedl before this) with no issues.

I've recently gone a step further and have it post a discord message once it's done with the download details for the day.

  • Plus you should be using that time in other ways, that factory isn't going to grow itself

  • I've found the same, but that it really depends on the topic.
