  • Maybe not. I don't think the prequels are good movies, but there's no denying they're some dumb fun that certainly appeals to a lot of people. The sequels don't even have that going for them. I can't imagine anyone being nostalgic about the return of Palpatine.

  • I love the Delgados. They broke up a long time ago and cited being dissatisfied with not obtaining much success. The most exposure they saw was one of their songs being used for an anime opening. Alun Woodward released one pretty neat solo album as "Lord Cut Glass", and Emma Pollack made (is still making?) a few solo albums afterwards that are all pretty good, too. I think their drummer was one of the most unrecognized musicians working in popular music ever. The drums on the Delgados albums go hard.

  • I never realized they were the same person before. I went to Wikipedia and found:

Schultz has also written for Breitbart where he likened liberalism to mental illness, and has similarly suggested that President Barack Obama's administration may intend to force sex reassignment surgery onto him and others.

Sigh.. Turns out he's a raging conservative.

  • Treasure! Dynamite Headdy, Gunstar Heroes. Bangai O. Not to mention the shmups. Damn they made some amazing games with super cool mechanics. Last I checked, they made a few anime tie-in games or something in the 2010s, but nothing since then.

  • Oh crud, your case sounds far worse than mine. Glad you have them somewhat under control.

If I suggested my migraines were worse than childbirth to my wife, she'd kill me. Our child was, uhh, very reluctant to joint the world.

  • It's weird to ask, but are you young? I've seen it suggested that migraines tend to recede in those 35+. I was very, very grateful for them going away as I got older. As long as I stay away from the caffeine, the worst headaches I get these days are just a mild annoyance. Especially compared to the I-wanna-kill-myself ones I got when I was in high school.

  • I love caffeine, but it messes me up bad. Absolutely debilitating headaches. I'll go six months or something without, and then relapse until I get woken up by a jackhammer in my skull and give it up again. Sigh. I don't understand the studies that actually suggest it's good for you.

  • Maybe the evidence is anecdotal, but I've lived in Korea for 20 years, and there's always a huge new, self-contained apartment complex going up nearby. If anything, they've ramped up production in that time. While older population centers are left to decline. Maybe not in Seoul which is shoulder-to-shoulder apartment complexes already, but the smaller cities are full of decaying apartment complexes since they put them up, then completely fail to maintain them as they know their market is full of people who will move into the next complex since "gotta have the latest and greatest" is a problem here.

  • Is a declining birth rate a bad thing? 50 million people live in a country (South Korea) the size of Indiana. Maybe, just maybe the economy should just take a hit for a change so there can be fewer people here. I know rich people don't want that, but I bet the country would be a better place for it.
