  • Elastic housing supply is nonsense.

Once a house is there it is there. You dont just demolish it, and build it up again somewhere else.

The only thing that can be elastic is demand. And it is not because moving has high opportunity costs, people are socially integrated in the area they life, feeling at home is a crucial feeling for mental well being...

People renting/buying to life are at a fundamental disadvantage against landlords, who only care about the money coming in. Thinking of housing as a "normal" market like idk. headphones or something shows a lack of economic understanding.

  • all those layouts are legacy from mechanical typewriters. There pressing keys next to each other sometimes caused the levers to interlock. So letters that often follow each other were put away from each other. And somehow this created the regional flavors of where the q,w,z,a,y are. maybe other letters too, but these are the ones i've encountered.

  • What are you talking about? Israel and Azerbaijan are allies. Azerbaijan sells its oil and gas to Israel and Israel granted it the "right" to exploit the gas fields in front of Gaza they want to steal. Israel supplied Azerbaijan with drones so it can slaughter Armenians.

And Turkey did not put the UN Charta through a shredder or demanded the world to attack UN institutions. Also Turkey does not demand its allies to cheer it on for its crimes.

  • Not to forget that there is about 10,000 people in Gaza stilling missing in the rubble. Plus even if everyone received adequate food and water today, there will still be hundreds if not thousands dying from injuries and malnutrition as they don't get adequate medical care.

So even if everything stopped right now. The real death toll is likely more in the range of 45,000 people killed and we need to consider more to be alive, but destined to die because of the inhumane conditions the entire population of Gaza is suffering by the hands of Israel and its allies.

  • Because the Zionists and the Antisemites and other Fascists are allies in doing so. They love the idea of ethnostates and they love the idea of monoculturalism and they love "their people" to be at threat outside "their country" so they can force them into that country.

It is fascism through and through.

  • There are, obviously, a few people who want decolonization but that just isn’t happening.

Which means by international law, that armed resistance to drive them from the land they stole is legal. There can be no peace without justice and justice means to give back all stolen land or make a fair agreement to buy it from the original owners.

Also many of the Zionists came to Palestine within our lifetime. And we are talking about moving at best maybe 4 Million people as opposed to the 300 Million in the US. The best moment to end this terrorist land stealing was in 1948. The second best moment is now.

  • I had a class mate who spent his holidays hiking in Nepal and places with his parents. When he was born a doctor close to his parents discovered a serious heart issue that made him ineligible for being drafted. I mean sure. You have a heart issue that you can't run 30 minutes, but you are doing week long hikes in 5.000-6.000m altitude.

  • How is loosing territories some 5.000-10.000 km away an "existential threat"? Even if they wanted to, Japan had no means of successfully invading main land US.

The US justifies dropping the Nukes with it preventing an extraordinary loss of life if they had to stage an amphibious invasion of main land Japan. But at least the US could stage much closer to Japan, than Japan could to the US.

In the same wake the Britains loosing their empire was not an existential threat to the US just as much as the genocide against China was not an existential threat for the US just as the Holocaust and the genocides in eastern Europe weren't an existential threat to the US.

  • We have been saying that Israel is a moral and legal hazard to the entire world as it rallied its allies to throw out all resemblance of a rule based international order recognizing such basic human rights like not being slaughtered and having access to basic food, water and medicine.

  • You can brute force most of higher education with memorization learning still. If you work twice as hard on your thesis for the six month or so you have to write it, you can make it seem like you understood most of it, even if you didn't. If in doubt you can always try to make a literature research thesis and just write down what most authors talked about, even if you don't understand what it is.
