Did you think I didn't understand your joke and that's why I thought it wasn't funny? It's just not a funny or original joke. We get that you thought it was funny, hence the gracious advice to not attempt a career in comedy.
What's your endgame here where you turn into the statistician nobody wanted or asked for? You were unlikable before this and now its just crossing into lonely sad man territory. You pissing into the wind while you desperate wikifacts and USA Today articles isn't improving anyone's stock in your opinion. I'm glad you don't like the city so many of us happily call home. Nobody asked you and nobody cares.
Imagine living and enjoying your city and the people in it quite a lot. Then try to imagine that every piece of national news you'll ever see about it is because of cars or the selling of murder narratives. It gets old and doubly so when someone is trying to paint a portrait of a place and community they've never stepped foot in. I love this place and my Muslim and Jewish neighbors that live in it. If you don't feel the same way for your community and your neighbors then I feel sad for you.
The location that this took place in is a small community of semi connected residences that is largely lived in by people who are part of Detroit politics, university professors or upwardly mobile young professional families. This didn't happen in a place where there is a large density of Jewish people (suburbs to the north-west) or where there is a large density of Arabic Muslims (Dearborn being off to the West.) The victim was both a religious leader and a political operator, very much involved in the Michigan Democratic machine. She had just been to a wedding the night before with Stephanie Chang, a local State Senator, and was friends with everyone from our Attorney General to multiple members of congress.
This isn't a place that it's likely that a crime like this would happen randomly, nor would it really be a great spot to try to commit a targeted murder. The units are connected, the area is dense and tightly knit. I can say this confidently because I've been there both as a residents guest and have canvassed the neighborhood multiple times before.
Perfectly said comrade of the narrows. That's Michigan real ones. We use our voices to lift up community rather than try to poison peoples minds with prejudice.
As opposed to the actual genocide in progress. Keep Detroit out of your fucking mouth you inbred. The people from both communities are fine, respectful and for the most part supportive of each other here. From Levin to Tlaib, we value our diversity and the large immigrant communities that have been a staple of the Tri-county Metro area. You're trash.
To be fair, when you're punching at ghosts in the dark you must punch everywhere. Sadly when you punch everywhere you inevitably hit humans, who then become ghosts. So then more punching and then more ghosts and then you burn down the side of the house you say is most haunted (for protection). Crap, now the ghosts are more concentrated and you burn down the other half. And that's how you get a Zak Bagans approved genocide and some extra room to stretch out and relax. protect yourself.
Ok, just making sure. I've met people that enjoy under cooked pizza and bread sticks and I've come to realize that they all tend to suck outside of just their choice of gross pizza. Like who the fuck orders underdone pizza that you plan on sharing?
Deep dish is awesome and you go with like a spinach, mushroom, onion and garlic... What a pie!
If they gave in to the people all the time though then the country would be subject to the "TyRannY oF tHe mAjOritY!" and that would be spookems scary and bad for Ma and Pa 1%.
A system that fully accepts environmental realities and works against the wholesale ecocide of the planet as it's first tenet. The rest is kinda whatever at this point. It could be a resource based economy or some sort of mixed planned/free market. Just gotta make sure that invisible hand doesn't strangle us all in our sleep, ya know?
For anyone else who doesn't like Al Jazeera, here is an article they wrote 4 days ago about this very church being the last refuge for hundreds of displaced civilians who had nowhere left to turn. Thankfully it's hosted on MSN, so it's not fully taboo to read about the horrified people who were at their wits end trying to escape death and largely accepting the futility of the effort.
Any strike on the church “would not only be an attack on religion, which is a vile deed, but also an attack on humanity”, Father Elias said. “Our humanity calls us to offer peace and warmth to everyone in need.”
George Shabeen, a Palestinian Christian and a father of four sheltering in the church with his family, said they had nowhere else to go; their streets had been targeted by three Israeli air raids.
“Coming here saved our lives,” he told Al Jazeera. “During the night, we huddle together, Muslims and Christians, old and young, and pray for safety and peace.”
If someone at the IDF read through some of this propaganda then maybe they wouldn't have put a bomb right next to the church.
To be fair to the IDF, The people who built the church really should have built it in a better place 1600 years ago if they knew that there were going to be legitimate targets in an adjacent building. Also, it's not like Israeli intelligence could have known the church was filled with Palestinians who had nowhere left to run
Jalapenos with the pineapple is so stupidly good. You get bacon on there and then it's like the crossroads of heavenly flavors. It's not a pizza for the meek.
It's a five gallon hat wearing, tambourine hand flailin, tastebuds up the wall wailin, genuine taste sensation!
