When I was in high school, they added 25 minutes to every day to build in snow days. If we did not use them, school just ended earlier than scheduled. This could serve basically the same function, to shorten the school year.
However, that's not even necessarily a good thing for learning... I think year-round school is generally accepted to be the best way to learn having many shorter gaps rather than one long summer. I suppose it could build in an extra week or two of breaks normally not present in a year-round school schedule.
People on the internet have gotten so stupid, I'm not entirely sure whether this was meant as /s or not. Really an indictment on the internet as a whole.

But if moddability is a prerequisite for you on full price games, you're probably due a lot of disappointment going forward as games continue to shift to GAS models (and honestly, if you've been beating this drum you've been real disappointed for the last decade anyways). Mods are a great experience for a single player game, but invite rampant cheating in competitive multiplayer games that need to be fair and balanced for all players. You're just not going to see moddability in multiplayer games. And one certainly doesn't have a right to interrupt or destroy other players' enjoyment of a game because they want to cheat.
To be clear, I am not arguing against modding being allowed in games. I ran a VERY heavily modified UI in World of Warcraft, and have had a blast with tons of mods in games like Skyrim and Minecraft. It's just not a hill I'll die on either. Not every game can or should be modded.
I was actually just watching a 60 minutes episode on YouTube the other day about a massive, fully green, generations long mining source of lithium in SoCal. It'll be able to supply all of the lithium needed for yearly domestic American EV sales and because it's so close to home, prices for these massive battery packs should fall off precipitously.
I feel like people are acting a little TOO hurt in this thread... debate on games being moddable vs not aside, this was obviously always going to be the case for a live service game like D4. D3 was (but wasn't really) a live service game and also was not moddable at all, even after the auction house got canned. Same for Overwatch 1, I'm quite sure OW2 as well. There should be no surprise here, and cheaters absolutely knew this would come.
Unfortunately, both of my IMAX screens are digital projection - I did look into it and saw that I had a 70mm IMAX screen around 4 hours away, but never could make it work with my work schedule. But my premium format IMAX screen was incredible all the same, no regrets!

Planet Earth is just an absolutely stunning visual spectacle showcasing nature at it's most beautiful. And Free Solo had me glued to my seat like no other documentary that I've ever watched. Alex Honnold's brain is just wired differently, so he has no fear rock climbing without a harness or a rope up an insanely difficult vertical climb of El Capitan.
I want to add - I think a LOT about this topic, and I'm pretty sure my wife couldn't care less. But if I'm spending almost $30/pp to see a movie in the massive IMAX theater, I want to make sure it's the best possible experience for both of us.
As a kid and most of the way through my 20s, I pretty much always wanted to be in the back row of a stadium seating theater (although the long, sloped plane theaters 🤮 I definitely didn't sit at the back because you were a mile away from the screen).
But over the last few years I've reevaluated my "always in the back" stance, and found that I, like OP, am happiest when the screen completely fills my view. Both of our theaters have leather recliners. At one of our premium/large format screens, I'll sit in about the 4th row of 30 because the recline is so substantial that I can sit so close without craning my neck to see the screen. In any of the other standard screens at that theater, I'll sit in the front half for sure.
We've also got a theater with two IMAX screens - one of them is so enormous and the seats are so vertically stacked that I've been pushing further and further back in the theater, almost to the back row. Because the screen is almost 80 feet tall, it positions you basically in the center of the screen and the recline in the chairs is very limited, so sitting too close means you are craning your neck.
We're the generation that used forums all over the internet, Digg, and then reddit before it was cool. Now that reddit is going nuclear, we're all looking for our new home because we yearn for the internet we all grew up with as it slowly erodes away thanks to millionaires/billionaires ruining all that is good to make a buck.
