It shouldn't be illegal, but it is because the law about it was written by the industry 25 years ago because our lawmakers think the internet and indoor plumbing work the same way.
I absolutely agree with everything in this post, I’m am just now learning about this but I’m really disappointed to hear that this happened.
I have looked past a lot of the toxic behavior of certain segment of neurotic individuals on the fediverse because I believe in the idea of protocols instead of platforms and user ownership of their data.
But add this to another example of zealots for privacy and “stopping harassment” being bigger bullies than the people they are supposedly against
There just isn’t enough games so there isn’t enough players so there isn’t enough games.
People want full AAA titles, not just 50 minute “experiences”. If PSVR had Skyrim VR, GTA VR, and a real FPS with a full length campaign I’d probably finally get it.
I’m not paying $600 for mini golf and horizon call of the mountain
I don’t get this logic though. How does having a fake illiquid value for RE holdings make sense on the books?
If RTO doesn’t increase value, then no one is going to up the lease at market value and so the property is going to lose value when push comes to shove. Wouldn’t you just take the depreciation now and write it off on your taxes if you own the building? If you are the lessor, why wouldn’t you keep pushing WFH so you can get a lower rate if you decide to renew the lease at expiration?
Amazon which blatantly profits off of pirated games on its marketplace by selling countless Chinese handhelds, removes an emulation front end, not even the emulator, just a front end, off its App Store. What a bunch of hypocrites
I don’t “meh” is hate. Just don’t think people are interested in non-monogamous relationships. I find it funny though because people still cheat and we have a high divorce rate, yet people still shame others for being promiscuous and desire to be in monogamous couples.
It worked for our family. The kids can use YT kids to have access to their videos and I can use the YT app to have access to mine without having to worry about switching profiles. Switching profiles is a little bit above the level of understanding for a 6 year old. If it prompts you to select a profile every time you launch the YT app i guess its probably not a problem.
Yeah I’ve never liked Wordpress. But it’s pretty much the defacto CMS for noobs. I always have used my own self-built CMS’s on frameworks like Laravel but it’s not really practical for non-tech people or even businesses to self develop their own CMS unless they have really specific needs.
I’m going to be honest, I didn’t even realize that Wordpress.org existed and was a non-profit; I just thought making the source available was something they did because you can’t really not do that as PHP framework.
I really want a real explanation on how I’ve caused Nintendo financial harm by format shifting my legally owned games. Especially considering I pay for NSO. At some point there has to be precedent that a pirated download does not equal a lost sale and that the individuals are responsible for the infringement and not the tools.
I use the Defender for Endpoint that comes with my Office subscription but I agree that unless you have an organizational EDR solution that can mitigate the fact you have to open up the system permissions to allow system scanning, it’s probably smarter to use ad block on your browser, use only vetted apps, and not override the default security controls.
That being said it’s probably not realistic to only use App Store apps, or keep things 100% locked down. If you are going to open things up. Use a reputable EDR solution and not just some free program like AVG or malwarebytes.
I really hope that apple arcade doesn't go the way of the dodo. I wouldn't pay for it if it didn't already come bundled with services I actually use but if anything it is a welcome reprieve from the normal cancer that is mobile game monetization
That was actually stolen from Reddit lol
