  • Yeah I was being a bit facetious I admit and I agree what you said is 100%. No data is safe these days and I guess I was trying to outline the fact that signing up to privacy.com is no different than signing up to a new banking institution. It's who and what you trust in the end and for what it's worth, privacy.com has a great concept and it would be a great option to use if trying to avoid personalcredit card scams and fraudulent activity.

  • Oh yes privacy.com, may as well sign up to google docs, they only need to collect..

Your name email address phone number birth date government-issued identification number payment card and bank information Device Data hardware model operating system Location Cookies Beacons.. among others.

  • Great governance! let's allocate more taxes offshore, meanwhile the Pentagon failed a fifth consecutive audit last November, when it could only account for 39 percent of its $3.5 trillion in assets. Nevertheless, the military received $858 billion which is only 10% increase in the last omnibus spending bill, for the record this is not a partisan issue.

And let's not talk about the Feds 3.3 billion dollar spending spree on ridiculously expensive furniture during the pandemic.

The military industrial complex is a money sponge, the Fed cries inflation worries while misappropriating funds and the border wall is simply a distraction, these multifaceted spending bills have become an absurd slush fund source for both sides of the aisle.

  • Thanks for this, it's an interesting option, I tried it on my M1 Mac and it's pretty close to what I was hoping for. Using a web app and browser for me doesn't always work well when I decide to shut down and clear my cookies, this will always force me to sign in again.

  • "no" sounds like a solid stance then I guess. These settlements are considered illegal under international law, as they violate the Fourth Geneva Convention. That law which prohibits an occupying power from transferring its civilian population into the territory it occupies. The United States and have expressed concerns, mostly just concerns, the United Nations have passed several resolutions reaffirming their position, mostly in condemnation, but overall the stance from the US has been more lenient towards Israel's settlement policies.

It certainly seems that these days there is a trend of not acknowledging human rights abuses anymore, it could be seen as late stage capitalism mixed with a deadly cocktail of politics/religion perhaps. This apathy from the west, will not serve humanity well in my opinion.

  • I can't see anything wrong with this approach, in fact in my mind this is a giant step in the right direction.

If consumers are allowed to remove their personal data from all state-based data brokers through a single, verifiable consumer request, I can't see why this law won't snowball into other states once consumers learn about how much data we are unwittingly giving over for free.

  • More adapters at ridiculous prices, it never ends. I would hope the USB-C to lightning adapters soon to be sold at Dollar Tree stores will work, knowing proprietary marketing I doubt it. Apple is late to the party, I would bet that there is some inbuilt trickery in this adapter that recognizes it's authenticity.

  • Out of a handful of A.I search tools based on chat GPT the difference between those and Googles results are like night and day. Who wants to spend time on Googles run around searches while freely giving over data and privacy these days.
