  • This has been happening all weekend, I use a vpn and often change servers to get something to play. But refreshing with patience and at times shutting down freetube then restarting has helped. It has been a huge pain lately for sure.

  • Honestly chat GTP is your friend. Or download an applications like Sim Daltonism that simulate how colors appear to individuals with different types of color blindness.

    A.I response.

To understand how a cartoon like Harvey Birdman might look to a colorblind person, it's essential to consider the different types of color blindness and how they affect color perception.

    Types of Color Blindness

    1. Red-Green Color Blindness: This is the most common form, which includes:
    • Protanopia: Difficulty distinguishing between red and green hues.
    • Deuteranopia: Similar to protanopia but affects green perception more.
    1. Blue-Yellow Color Blindness: Less common, affecting the ability to differentiate between blue and yellow colors (tritanopia).
    2. Complete Color Blindness: A rare condition where individuals see the world in shades of gray.

    Visual Representation in Cartoons

    • Color Perception: For someone with red-green color blindness, colors that are typically vibrant red or green may appear muted or indistinguishable. For instance, a bright green tree might look more like a grayish or brownish color, and red objects may blend into greens or browns.
    • Cartoon Examples: In cartoons, characters and backgrounds often rely on bright, contrasting colors to convey emotions and actions. To a colorblind person, these contrasts may be less pronounced. For example:
    • A cartoon featuring a red apple on a green background might appear as a grayish shape against a similarly muted backdrop.
    • Characters with red or green clothing may look similar in hue, making it challenging to distinguish between them.
  • "In Australia, prices for pharmaceutical medicines are capped at $31.60 if listed on the PBS. A 2024 report by research organisation Rand found that US drug prices were, on average, about 370% higher than in Australia and 278% above the OECD average"

The American pharmaceutical system is broken. The U.S. spends significantly more on developing drugs than other developed nations, partly due to unfettered regulation. This spending is attributed to exploitative capitalism and a lack of price controls. The fragmented nature of the U.S. healthcare system created this monster, and now these mega-corporations can't stop the "sugar high." It's total BS.

  • I miss the days when all the cool websites used Flash. I think Macromedia killed it for some reason. Probably because it had security flaws, back then it was pretty bandwidth-intensive too, but it made for some dynamic web designs.

  • The plot thickens. If anybody wants to save a click this is the article from 2001.

HAYDEN, Idaho -- Firefighters burned some of the remaining buildings on the former Aryan Nations compound during training exercises this week.

The 20-acre property is owned by the Carr Foundation, which offered the abandoned buildings to Northern Lakes Fire District officials for training, fire inspector Dean Marcus said.

The foundation bought the compound in April from Victoria and Jason Keenan, who won a $6.2 million judgment against the Aryan Nations and its founder, Richard Butler.

Firefighters said they had no political agenda in burning four of the seven buildings during sessions that started Tuesday evening.

"It just gives the folks the opportunity to train how we work," Chief Jeff Welch said.

A bomb squad dog searched the buildings Thursday to make sure they were safe.

Firefighters plan to torch Butler's former home and the neo-Nazi sect's former church July 15.

  • Amazing! The sugar amounts seem kinda excessive for me at least, but you sound like a cook that knows measurements, loving the references to half and full palm fulls, going to try this recipe out. Different styles of cooking necessitate different styles of approaches. Appreciate the post.

  • Is this a mulberry? It looks to me like a plant sport which is a variation arising from a single plant that differs genetically from the parent plant, it is essentially a mutation that manifests as a noticeable change in a plant's characteristics, it can sometimes happen when the cellular structure has been messed with (say cutting off a limb) and the dormant buds grow and divide in differing ways giving the variation in the leaf characteristics. It's just a guess though.

  • I edited my comment here, but the privacy concern with Chameleon stems from its ability to access and modify data on all websites. This access is necessary for the extension to function, as it needs to alter the user agent and other browser settings. Obviously not great when on secure websites.

  • Can someone explain why all the downvotes? I've always been of the opinion that the more plugins you have, the more identifiable you are, so if that is the reason for the downvotes, I'd understand.

Edit: It seems the extension requires access to all websites, which allows it to monitor and modify data from any visited site
