The problem here is we don't have a better successor to our shitty system. China is likely to become the next dominant super power but we all know how fucked they've been to the Uyghurs, the Nepalese, India with border skirmishes, Asian mercantile boats through naval clashes, and practically every other country with their Wolf Warrior diplomacy. If fledgling markets thought US hegemony sucked, just think how China will treat them. They don't give a fuck about soft power.

Absolutely. It's easy for another Occupy Wall Street outcome to happen where this movement just fizzles out if there's no structure to solidify into. Considering that most Democrats won't acknowledge or support the movement, someone must rally these people into making an organization out of this momentum to challenge establishment Dems and Republicans. Long lasting and meaningful plans for governmental change have to come from this otherwise we'll just stall out and get nothing done. Again.

The first Switch still seemed like a good purchase because you could own the physical cartridge of a game so it'll still be available long after its servers shut down. The Switch 2 just gives you a physical NFT with which to download the game with. Anyone who purchases this system will be very disappointed a few years later when it cuts off access to their library.

Thanks for the new post! Looks like I'll be avoiding the Switch 2 due to their steep price jump. There's gotta be an upper limit on what even Nintendo fanboys would pay just to play an updated Mario Kart or new Zelda game, especially in this economy.

The theory is that it's supposed to encourage internal economic growth via domestic production of goods by making foreign made goods much more expensive. What the orange dip shit failed to understand is that America doesn't have the internal infrastructure or resources needed to create most of the goods they consume. This is basically just a tax on the US consumer that ruined a lot of international trade deals and caused an irreversible decline in confidence with American markets.

RTX 3080 owner here. I get a black screen whenever I try to play a game after the desktop goes to sleep in Linux Mint. The only workaround is to restart the PC and play it before its screensaver comes on. The struggle is real.

The closest thing we'll see for that kind of legislation is when BYD inevitably makes it to the US. Even then they might word it to say all data traffic from cars would have to go to US servers. These piece of shit politicians work for the data harvesting ghouls, after all.

Currently suffering through the pain of a programmer leaving a year ago and seemingly no one inherited his knowledge of the stuff he was working on for one of my projects. It was also the fault of other departments for delaying my work for even longer but they don't care. It's agony having to ask around the office for someone who might actually have the info I need.
