This seems true to me. 1080 Ti runs everything today & likely going to be okay for 3 years or more. Though the 1080 Ti is a very powerful card..

I think a 1060 3g should be where the line is drawn, absolutely trash looking textures that some games have on minimum graphics shouldn't use more than 2 gigs of vram. (yes I'm looking at you BG3)

I think you would be surprised. 1080p gaming is very much alive & 1080p gamers don't need ultra high rez textures. I would certainly love to use this option. Sometimes people would even prioritize their data plan over graphics, because not everyone is so obsessed with graphics.

Especially if at download it was explained to users they won't see a difference at 1080p, then even Steam & GoG could save some bandwidth. (plus it would be environmentally friendly)

Not saying he does not deserve it, but if someone jumps into a fire pit, you won't be able to convict the person that made the pit.. Thought maybe it's not so morally black and white in this specific case, I'm not sure.

Have a low-medium texture download/install option. It's time!

LTT produced some rather entertaining videos over the years, but for a long time it's been just that without any substance. I'll be okay without their videos showing up in my YT recommendations.

I think fucked up education, if started at the first grade, or even kindergarten will do the job. When Vulcan worked for me it used less Vram, then dx11 does now on linux.

Ironically, with the final (not the pre-purchase) release it's the other way around. Vulcan crashes after the airship cinematic.. (I'm also on Linux)

That's a bit extreme. Don't use 'Extreme PRO Portable SSD' units, but WD has some pretty reliable SSDs and if we boycott WD only Samsung is left..
