I think he left Damascus before homs fell.

I have no idea. It was titled something like "rebels take over Damascus airport". Then I went on flight radar and saw the airplane taking off with no destination set.

I can't verify how "real" it is other than I saw it on social media right before that airplane took off and saved it. Everything today moved pretty quickly.

Personally I don't think Assad was on that flight.

I watched that live. The video from the airport a few minutes before was surreal.

Russian retoric has gotten pretty escalatory and I can't say I've seen the same for the USA recently. They have some north Korean energy... So please prove me wrong or just stop. Show me where the USA is threatening the apocalypse with Russia to secure concessions from non nuclear armed states?
