  • You only find it funny because there's a woman you find hot ΰ² _ΰ²

  • Sorry but those will be Musk's personal anti peasant drones to squash protests on mars

  • What about a bed that perfectly fits into a nook in the room, meaning that part of the room is nothing but bed with only one side open? Sized exactly so nothing sticks out either

    Because that's my bedroom

  • I love how polite they are at it too. No beef. No trying to stop each other's yoinks. Just taking turns

  • It's also because it was meant to be read by lords and nobles to teach them the basics of war. A lot of them were EXTREMELY disconnected with reality and didn't even fathom basic shit like "Oh yeah your troops need food. They can't just forage mid war like animals would"

  • So the problem is that our decimal number system just sucks. Should have gone with hexadecimal 😎

/Joking, if it isn't obvious. Thank you for the explanation.

  • Meanwhile me when I started living alone with only a dog and no human contact for years:

    Started making animal noises.

For context I was INCREDIBLY isolated living basically in the woods with my dog . It's a weird thing I noticed. I communicate with my dog using only basic sounds so me hissing would be the equivalent of "Bug off for now". I realised it is a problem when I had to restrain the urge to hiss at a human.

I managed to unlearn these things in the past two years but it certainly shows that having only animal contact can cause other kinds of mental decline.

  • Flying actually requires a lot of training because if the person flying dies all that training was for nothing and an expensive jet is lost to boot.

It's one of those professions where it's just not financially feasible to half ass it (for the ones funding)

  • My body is a temple

It's old decrepit and I'm pretty sure it's haunted

  • It's mostly important for when you wanna do business in the European markets.

The alternative is to be blocked by most of Europe entirely. Happens usually to tabloid news sites as they are often in violation of anti misinformation and hate speech laws. It's also why they could sue Facebook so easily as otherwise Facebook would be non-GDRP compliant and be blocked there.

Lemmy however isn't exactly for profit, so sees much less scrutiny. This is primarily for business after all. Lemmy doesn't have ads, doesn't take users money, nor does it sell products. It also does not actively distribute illegal media either.

(it should be noted that it's usually not the EU doing the blocking but rather so websites choosing to block viewership from the EU because they'd rather do that than get sued to hell)
