  • FYI, the mountain was originally called "Six fathers" and was a holy site for the natives. The project was actually never approved or agreed upon by all parties, rather so spontaneously made and never completed.

In other words, it was desecration and utter disrespect. And then the project was even left unfinished

Edit: the person who desecrated six fathers by creating Rushmore, was apparently actually a KKK member and white supremacist

  • Unfortunately negative prompts and quotations don't work half of the time on Google. As many in this comment section have noted.

  • People trying to look up the Kirby character "Zero Two" to find fan creations based on it...

Only to get barraged with weeb garbage.

Seriously you used to easily find fan content, remixes and music. Now all you get are shitty AMVs of some turbovirgins "Waifu"

  • The only downside of DDG is that it doesn't have a decade or two of algorithm data to personalise your searches and sort of "learn" what you mean with certain terms.

Not like I miss it too much. It's just a mild culture shock to suddenly having to be more clear with my searches

  • Counterpoint. No one uses GNU alone as their interface on their personal computer.

  • How about off with their heads since they'll just find ways to dodge taxes?

  • Oh yeah duh. I just sometimes disable it because it can be wonky and skip important pieces with how tagging works.

  • The worst part about those is

When the ad is actually something I want to watch, there is no way to open it as a seperate video. Once I click off it's fucking gone forever. It's such backwards design. The few times I have interest in an ad I can't even properly check watch it!

  • And for everything it works on: just use Firefox with ublock origin!

  • Shame.

  • That's actually exactly how chemo works. It microwaves your cells on a molecular level!

Edit: turns out I confused it with radiation therapy!

  • Seriously I kind of miss the "Internet playground" era of 10 years ago. It felt like you could easily find not just one but multiple close knit groups for ANYTHING you might enjoy. It was easy to engage with people without huge effort.

Nowadays it's monolithic corporate groups. Soulless without the close interactions. Content is at an all time high yet simultaneously true interactions are dead. Forget about trying to find multiple groups, they all have been cannibalised into a singular Uber corpo group if it exists at all.

  • Thank you so much! Now I can finally play both of my games ❤️

  • I'll ask you for monster Prom! Seeing how I already have monster Prom 2 but am missing the first game!
