America isn't a people. America is a system of brutality and violence built on racism, genocide, and exploitation. Ashes are better than it deserves.

People socialized more in person because there wasn’t much else to do and it was the best way to do so.

Truly dark times.

The neighborhood I grew up in let kids walk to school but now parents pick their kids up in cars just across the street from the school instead of making them walk all the way home.

(Though some may be skirting residency requirements so I’m not too mad.)

Then again, back in my day they didn’t have padlocks on the fences.

I have watched children be bussed across a stroad rather than making it safe for kids to cross

I’d imagine DoorDash delivery is a hell of a lot of faster here than the burbs.

I have to be a Democrat to vote in the primaries in my state.

Also, independents don’t matter but Bernie has a higher approval rating than any Democrat.

I have done everything everyone has told me will influence this for a quarter cebtury and it hasn’t worked.

It’s been damn near 40 years of this bullshit and I’m tired of pretending people actually want things to get better.

If they did they wouldn’t end up nominating centrists in the first place.
