I read one paper behind these claims, and it is interesting? Definitely a wild rabbit hole if you are so inclined. Some highlights:

Seems like solid research, but some of the results and assertions are … well. Let me put it this way: I would like to see more research. It points to an interesting direction (criminal offenders beeing developmentally delayed), but I would like to know if a differently sourced population exhibits the same traits.

Diagnosed but unmedicated here. With Kids and "neurotypical" spouse. I love them all so much. It is exhausting. Everytime they wanted to add another family member I was like "no this would be too much". Also because of my fear that I could not do them justice. Then we had another family member. Also my spouse is awesome and does jump in when I'm unable to (that happens way more often than I'd like. its up and down. She still has a hard time understanding sometimes).

Well I it is hard. We had to go through alot of shit. But I learned soooo much! I am happy in ways I never would have guessed.

But you have to realize that in 10 years you will be different people with differing needs. There will be change and learning. About yourself. About your spouse. Looots of it. Much more than if we only stayed together as a couple. You will have to deal with the fact your child, that felt like like part of your heart, is it's own person.

All I can tell you is: my life would have been emotionally poorer and lonelier.

Wouldn't something like a T1000 (50w/8GB) be okay? I know I use a much older matrox card (30w?/ w/ even lower TDP) for this purpose. It's not great, but it transcodes in hardware.

Just a possibility: Check if the m2 slot is for disk. There are many boards where there are WiFi exclusive m2 ports. For disks there are also m2 sata and m2 nvme port variations. You need to find out what yours are. Consult your motherboards technical documentation if in doubt. If the BIOS can boot from it, Linux can too.

Edit: that beeing said I never encountered problems with a similar setup ( I boot from Linux on nvme m2 then there is a combined windows /data disk)
