Bad launch is giving then the benefit of the doubt which they don't deserve. They intentionally launched an incomplete game so they could make the money now and look good for investors, and then just fix it post launch while also giving out 'free' updates that should have just been all there on launch.
Mind you I'm not complaining about the actual developers, it's always the executives who are to blame when this happens.
People need to vote with their wallets, if they stopped pre ordering and buying buggy messes at launch companies would be incentivised to actually release fully working/fully developed games.
Also the whole background of how the devs and play testers were treated is horrendous.
Legit people need to start doing this. I've been saying it for years.
'I'm a true American patriot, I'm not gonna let the government tell me or my fiancee what I can and can't do with my body. Stop being a commy' said to an anti abortion republican with an American flag. I also call them snowflakes.
Watching gamers back peddle on cyberpunk hurts my soul. Just because the game is good now doesn't excuse the bullshit they pulled on launch but peope just excuse it because it's good now, they get what they deserve.
I also wonder what they consider an active user. Would logging in through Facebook to play a mobile game count? What about just logging in through Facebook on any site to get an account on that site? I know I probably check my Facebook once every 3 months to check up on fam but other than that I don't use it.
Dude exactly, also a bunch of us dems are just of the type who wouldn't participate regardless even if they got a hold of us. If they want my time they have to pay.
Sorta related. I'm gonna be moving in a couple months and decided I want to start dipping my toes Into Linux when I do. I want to set up a mini pc hooked up to my TV as my 'streaming box', not planning on doing anything fancy like iptv or any of the RR suite apps/self hosting since I don't actually watch much TV except for movie nights and the odd TV show.
OK here's my actual question, what's a solid simple distro I can set up and not fuss with much that'll serve that purpose?
Realistically it'll just be for browsing the free streaming sites and possibly later on setting up old console/arcade emulators.
My tech level is 'go to guy in the non tech related office that fixes pc stuff 90 percent of the time'.
Bonus if anyone can recommend a mini pc or brand I should look into.
Isn't Texas and some other states actually passing or trying to pass a law to make it illegal to get an out of state abortion? Iirc some local counties passed them over there already.
An ic reader helps if you're not actively paying attention. When you swipe your card it gives you the balance too for those who don't know. I recommend getting a suica card at the airport and just load it up, you can use it for all sorts of travel vehicles, shops and vending machines. Including at the airport on the way home, no reason to just load it with 10 bucks at a time. I just chucked 50 bucks on there for my couple week stay. Google maps is actually amazing for the trains. Takes a sec to figure it out but it's great.
I mostly pirate games that don't have free trials. I'll play them a bit and if I like em I'll just buy them legit and often buy them for friends so we can play together. I've bought like 3 copies of terraria and 2 of minecraft way back in the day in addition to a bunch of other smaller names. I also pirate AAA games because fuck em, they don't need my money.
