Set unbreakable rules for yourself BEFORE you are in a high pressure or mind altering situation. (Don't trust the drunk or stressed out version of you to make good choices. If you decide that you won't be driving BEFORE you take the first drink, drunk you won't have to make that decision later.)

I know one of those young men playing video games, and he REALLY wants a job, but no matter how he works the math, the medication that keeps him alive costs more than what he'd make. So, his only choice is to budget around permanent poverty or die.

They don't necessarily conflict.

The worker works and slowly earns more money and contacts. Eventually, he can earn enough to take over or start his own company, and build up the next generation of workers turned owners.

Of course, we know this isn't really how it works, but that's why they call it a dream.

In my home repair experience, if you're not an expert in a field and you're having trouble finding something specific, there's probably a good reason for that.

If nobody's making what you're looking for, there's a good chance that it's not safe or legal.
