  • Or, what if their healthcare continued to be free so they wouldn't have an incentive to find a way to live on $700 month?

I know one of those young men playing video games, and he REALLY wants a job, but no matter how he works the math, the medication that keeps him alive costs more than what he'd make. So, his only choice is to budget around permanent poverty or die.

  • They don't necessarily conflict.

The worker works and slowly earns more money and contacts. Eventually, he can earn enough to take over or start his own company, and build up the next generation of workers turned owners.

Of course, we know this isn't really how it works, but that's why they call it a dream.

  • In my home repair experience, if you're not an expert in a field and you're having trouble finding something specific, there's probably a good reason for that.

If nobody's making what you're looking for, there's a good chance that it's not safe or legal.

  • Probably triple. We frequently hit singles here and all we do is complain about how we wish it was summer. I see people pointing out that 100° can be lethal, but not nearly as lethal as 9°

And on the really hot days (although we never hit 100) we still complain, but always follow it with: at least it's not snowing!

  • Also when did it become ok for dentists to tell you off for not brushing up to their standards. I just noticed how they routinely use shaming as a form of control.

I think they've always done this, and it has the opposite effect on me. I don't want to be shamed, so I don't go, tooth starts to hurt, but they'll shame me, so I don't go, things get worse, have to go, get shamed, get fixed, remember shaming, don't schedule next appointment, repeat.

Please remember to brush your teeth and visit the dentist. Don't be me. You only get two sets and you've already burned through the first one.

  • No, it's pretty much an everyone thing. Sure, you'll find some people sympathetic to your case, but for the most part, it's an "unforgivable sin".

No matter what they say, all you can do is either prove them all wrong, or prove them all right.

Edit: I forgot I was replying to a comment, so the tone is directed towards OP.

  • Honestly, you should get the OG Switch.

It does everything you're looking for in the Switch 2, but without most of the downsides.

If you haven't had one already, you have a lot of great games to catch up on, which you could buy with the money you'd save by not buying a Switch 2.
