Hero is too strong a word. It took far too long for him to tell anyone what happened and he hasn't once called out Trump for being a traitor or trying to overthrow our democracy. During the Republican debates this year he agreed he'd endorse the Republican candidate regardless of who it was, including Trump.

Pence could have been a hero but he's tried too hard to stay in the middle and not offend the MAGAts when we've really needed the truth.

It's still a crap-ton of calories, at least the way I eat it. I've proven you can gain weight on keto. It's harder but snacking on PB all day is one way to get enough calories to do it.

He's not sentenced to life based on his current age. He's still not an adult anyway. Most (all?) states allow minors above a certain age to be tried and sentenced as adults in extreme circumstances, and 15 isn't considered too young here.

I think the lack of parole option is horrible in this case, but then again US prisons don't really focus on rehabilitation either so I'm not sure he'd have much chance anyway. Still horribly sad all around.

The US can support Israel's right to exist along with the Palestinians too and could pressure Israel to have a more reserved response that didn't kill so many Palestinian civilians. And in fact it's clear many in the administration want this. However as there are definitely ardent Israel supporters that have no empathy for the civilians plight and that have deep pockets and long memories, it appears Biden is very reluctant to offend them right before an election.

If the pharmaceutical companies are using government funding to pay for their research, the government and the people it represents should reap some of the benefits. Yeah. The size of this cubicle and not being open plan tells you this picture is from at least a decade ago. It's so much worse than this now.

It's a problem for adults too. Circulating an AI generated nude of a female coworker is likely to be just as harmful as a real picture. Just as objectifying, humiliating and hurtful. Neighbors or other "friends" doing it could be just as bad.

As an android user with a wife and kids that have iPhone, it's obnoxious that any video my wife and kids attach to a group message gets auto-reduced to sub-potato quality. We send them with Facebook messenger now but I can see where other groups might simply exclude the people with Androids to avoid the need to use alternate apps. Apple k ows what it's doing.
