  • Went to the arctic circle for the first time. It's crazy how bright out it is at night.

This is 12:30AM just after midnight.

  • True, they shouldn't be allowed on the roads, but if you required an age limit of 15 for e-scooters why not e-bikes as well?

And then if you need an age limit for e-bikes why not regular bikes?

  • Anyone who spends more on a watch than a car has poor money management. Fuck, what a waste. There's no way any watch is worth more than $1000 other than for clout which is stupid.

  • Or an uneducated community to bury real information šŸ˜†

  • Everything is connected nowadays.

Yes your raisin bran cereal might not have tarriffs directly, but the equipment used to make it, harvest the ingredients, package it, and ship it are all made of steel. If steel goes up in price your raisin bran goes up in price.

  • As long as I'm getting paid you can send me anywhere to do anything.

But expect me to go somewhere without being paid and it better be something I'm interested in and that I don't have other stuff I would rather use my time to catch up on. I have better stuff to do at home than to just hang out and not be productive while also losing a day of wages.

But if it's paid I would greatly appreciate the stress free day.

  • What's the point of AI if you need to search for the source to make sure it's right everytime? Just skip a step and search for a source first thing.

  • You are being very selective with your choices of examples. Yes you buy a "chicken" at the grocery store but you aren't buying it with feathers and feet still attached. If you buy crickets at the grocery store I guarantee you it will be the whole carcass.

I don't understand why you are being so pedantic about this.

EATING AN CRICKET IS NOT THE SAME AS EATING AN ENTIRE CHICKEN OR LOBSTER, IT DOESNT MATTER WHAT THE FUCK YOU CALL MEAT OR NOT. that's the only thing I'm trying to point out even boiling the carcasses and shells to make soup bases and stock is not the same as eating the feathers and guts.

If you would like to eat an entire chicken with feathers and intestines and all that to prove me wrong then please go ahead

  • They are meat the same way a cow is meat, but you don't eat the cows hide. If you sell cricket meat then it should be just the "meat" of the cricket, otherwise you are just selling cricket not cricket meat, like selling the corpse of a cow is not selling meat it's selling a dead cow.

Just as you sell lobster, you sell the lobster and then extract the meat later. Just calling the entire lobster meat is also disengenous.

  • At that point just eat popcorn, you're mostly eating it as a delivery device for the added sauces/spices.

  • You only eat the inside of the shrimp and lobsters. You throw away the exoskeletons.

Good luck doing that with crickets.

  • Pretty much anything tech support, it gives you options which no longer exist anymore because the solution it is suggesting is from a slightly older windows/android version and the UI changed so the option is no longer where it thinks.

Also asking if particular wildlife in in a particular location. Tried asking it if polar bears were in a location I'm going to visit and it said yes, but a quick search through its sources confirmed that was false and the nearest Polar bears are hundreds of miles away.

  • Ya I can see AI resulting in many deaths if people start trusting it for things like "is this mushroom edible"?

  • Most of the time if I read the AI summary from Google it's wrong. Very few times has it actually been helpful.

  • Eh, unhealthy habits do have a cost to society if you end up getting cancer and then we all have to pay for your treatment.

Although people who drink too much also don't get a new liver if they need it, so maybe people who smoke should just forfeit the right to cancer treatment.

  • Why is NATO concerned about Ukraine? Maybe you should have accepted their application. Didn't y'all reject them?

  • Or like, a reasonably quick train that takes me from chilliwack to Vancouver?

  • One thing I don't understand about inflation is why printing money increases it but borrowing money doesn't.

Either way you all of a sudden have $200 million dollars to spend, why does inflation care if that came from another country? The money is still the same, being spent the same, etc.

Eventually it needs to be paid back but that's not for a very long time so wouldn't inflation happen between now and then anyways?
