  • As a British Columbian I always feel like Canada doesn't care much about us. Federal policy is almost entirely favoured towards Quebec and Alberta, and often elections are decided before BC even finishes voting.

I care not if BC stays Canadian or if we become cascadia with Washington, Oregon, Alaska and California. I feel like we have more in common with them than other provinces.

  • How does a city just, determine that? Do municipal buildings just have some sort of option to choose where their electricity comes from?

Or do they all have enough of their own solar panels that they are able to power themselves? Which seems sort of impossible. I don't see how they can determine that.

  • It would be better if they made it easier to avoid getting that medical debt in the first place

  • And how many of those people actually read the fine print on labels?

I've seen a ton of empty cigarette boxes over the years (I don't smoke) but I've never bothered actually reading the warnings.

  • I mean, it's pretty well known that alcohol isn't healthy. Do we need a warning about every risk it poses? Cancer, liver damage, fetal alcohol syndrome, impaired driving, addiction, etc.

    It's a pretty big list.

  • It might happen if pollievre gets elected. Conservatives are little America worshippers.

  • Wouldn't mind if they wanted to join us in Canada lol would make a fair bit of sense I think.

  • A E & F

  • And humans are carnivores. And it doesn't matter if you're vegan, the animal can't tell.

Usually prey animals determine if another animal is a threat from the placement of their eyes. Front facing eyes usually mean the animal is built for hunting prey, and side-mounted eyes are for prey needing to keep aware of their surroundings.

We have front facing eyes so most animals immediately will register us as a threat.

  • I'm a man and I still use "just" because even if a man doesn't use it I see them as aggressive and dickish. I feel it's just more polite to use it.

  • They overbook more flights than they can actually handle knowing that there will be delays for the tickets they sell so that they can sell more.

  • "Only $10,000 a month! What a bargain!"

  • My Dell laptop died after 2 years, $1600. Never again.

  • I would think a possibility is that it's from a dataset where the data wasn't recorded properly so they are unsure as to whether it was am or pm but didn't want to throw out the data point.

  • $100,000 does seem a bit exaggerated. My sister spent about $40,000 on her wedding which I thought was pretty extravagant and way too much to spend. They didn't exactly cheap out and it was for over 100 people.

  • Ya if it was a group of 16 year olds luring a pedophile than all the power to them.

If it was a group of 18 year olds just luring a gay man and assaulting him for his sexuality then hopefully they get tried as adults and put behind bars for a good number of years.

  • "Nippon steel promised..."

Lol like anyone can believe a promise from a company. As soon as the CEO or board changes all bets are off.

  • World of Warcraft

Love the world and history and characters. Gameplay is now pretty shit.

  • Time zone doesn't affect "midday"

Midday is when the sun is at its highest point. The hottest part of the day is pretty much always a few hours after midday.

Of course there are exceptions, there's almost always exceptions for literally everything and it's kind of useless pointing it out.

  • That's a little pedantic. The exact time isn't really important, just that it is not exactly at midday, it's a few hours after midday.
