  • The word diversity is too triggering for racists, so we need to change the words now.

  • Regulations don't prevent people breaking the law though. If they didn't have the current regulations there would be a lot more people flying a lot more drones in a lot more dangerous areas because they wouldn't be breaking the law.

Laws also don't prevent murder from happening, they just make sure the murderer is punished after the fact and make it less likely that it will occur.

  • Fact checking affects Democrat election results. Not all that other silly stuff.

  • "Many Places" umm no, not domesticated house cats.

And if you live in a place with native and wild small felines it's even more important to keep domesticated cats inside since they will compete for food or mix genetics by trying to interbreed and put the native wild population of cats in danger of diseases.

  • If the child is not old enough to understand what a car is and that it's dangerous and moves fast and what roads are and to keep off them then yes, don't let the kid outside unless supervised.

Cats don't and can't understand any of that.

  • Would they even be able to join the EU if they aren't part of Denmark? They aren't exactly in Europe. That would be like Canada applying to join. I guess it's pretty close to Iceland which is in europe but still seems off.

  • Mostly cars, but it's also how they end up getting lost or grabbed by people thinking they are lost, and also wildlife like coyotes or owls and raccoons often can kill them because they don't have a natural sense of fear for predators anymore. As well as transfer of disease from mingling with other outdoors cats. Or getting pregnant by meeting up with other outdoor cats while not being fixed themselves.

  • If they do Canada will be next, surrounded on three sides.

  • I was able to talk with an engineer that managed the water supply for a large city that underwent a fairly substantial evacuation due to a wildlife.

It was really interesting because he was saying how he had to sleep in his office to be on call and able to manage things fast enough. They had to shut down the water supply to specific portions of the city so that all of the water was available to the high risk areas and basically just move the water around as the firefighters told him where the fire was moving to and which areas needed it most.

(Edit: just for clarification this was not for the LA fires this was for a fire years ago)

  • I just have unplayed, installed locally, and good games.

I often forget to update the good games folder so it's iffy as to whether or not all of my good games are in there yet at any given time.

  • Yes, too many times I have come across website pages telling me to visit "webpage name" if I'm looking to solve "issue that I need to solve" and then they don't even include the link to said webpage I have to search and find it myself.

  • I hate it how Facebook is a better source of public safety information than some government websites.

If we need to travel the snowy highways you can get better updates on the conditions than the official highways website.

  • So why is no one asking me for $50 to leave me alone forever? Come one, bring it.

  • Didn't notice a thing and I was using it through the entire day

  • Alberta hates on Trudeau but he fucked over BC for an Albertan pipeline. And Harper before that was definitely more pro-alberta than pro-bc. I can name more federal decisions that benefited Alberta than those that benefited BC that's for sure.

  • I mean, lower mainland of BC is full of religious rednecks. Particular pockets aren't much different than rural Alberta.

  • Thursday because it's not quite friday

  • There are faults, but also benefits. My dad recently had heart trouble over new years and within 4 hours of arriving at the ER, he was triaged, brought into emergency, had two ekgs, a cat scan, an ultrasound and consultation with a Cardiologist, then transferred to a private room in ICU

Within another two days he was transferred to another hospital to get an angioplasty and then an arterial stent, then released two days later with a months worth of prescription pills for $50 since it was the new years and the deductible still needed to be met before they were free.

I would take that over America's system any day.
