  • Nope. Ship of Harkinian and 2 Ship 2 Harkinian have been around for years with no issues from Nintendo, and this port is being developed by HarbourMasters, the same people behind those ports. It's not going anywhere anytime soon.

  • I have a very strict notification policy on my phone. Only the most deserving apps (like text messaging) are allowed the privilege of sending me notifications. Most apps in my device are not allowed to speak to me unless spoken to first. They stay in their little spot in my app drawer, in forced deep sleep until I summon them. Then and only then are they allowed access to my attention.

  • Dude start off with something more mellow, or you're going to be extremely disappointed if/when you decide to try other drugs. Psychedelics are so intense that I don't even consider them to be drugs. They're something else entirely. A "god molecule", if you will.

I'd suggest starting off with Nitrous Oxide and/or weed first. Nitrous has psychedelic properties (but without the visuals), and cannabis can also be psychedelic when you have no tolerance. Also they last more in the minute range—not hours (especially nitrous)—so they'll wear off a lot quicker should you decide you don't like the feeling.

Trust me, I've tried every drug under the sun. I'm a daily or near-daily user of several substances; psychedelics like shrooms are the one substance that I avoid. Only for special occasions, once every few years at most. Not the very first thing I'd try. It would be the very last.

  • As others have suggested, I'll probably just throw LTSC on it and call it a day. That's what I did for my DJ laptop (the mixing hardware isn't compatible with Linux), and it works phenomenally. It's the perfect Windows OS for a single-use PC.

  • Tried it again a few months ago when HDR support first dropped in KDE. It didn't work at all. Everything was desaturated and dim. Literally the opposite of what HDR is supposed to do.

I'm giving it another year before I try Linux again. Hopefully the bugs are sorted by then.

  • You misunderstood. What I meant is that for every hour you work, you get an hour of paid time off. So if you work 40 hours one week, you could go the entire next week without showing up to work at all if you wanted to, and still get paid for it.

  • As someone who worked there for a year, the nice thing about Amazon is that managers don't harass you—even if you come in late every single day—and the 40 hours of paid personal time granted every week is great too. It's the kind of job where you can just put on your headphones and zone out, and never have to come in on days when you don't feel like it. Just call off in the app.

Still wouldn't recommend that anyone works there. Everything else about the job sucks.

  • How do you know for sure that they're criminals, just because they're not American? None of them have even been charged with anything. Innocent until proven guilty.

You should be more concerned about the convicted rapist with 34 felonies who is currently in the oval office. Also quit being a racist piece of shit.

  • I'm trying but the girlfriend refuses. She watches YouTube on the TV and does everything else on her phone; literally only uses the laptop to play The Sims 4 (which her 1080ti can handle just fine), yet she's convinced that she will need a brand new gaming machine with a 4090/5090 as soon as Microsoft dumps WIn10. She's afraid that she'll completely break the OS if she switches to Linux. (Which is plausible, though unlikely.

I'm hoping she'll change her mind as soon as she realizes just how much more GPUs cost these days, especially mobile ones.
