Oh my sweet summer child. If you really believe this, then you haven't spent much time around conservatives. I was raised by them. Nazism was/is taken lightly, like a silly joke (that's why you saw so many people smiling and laughing at Elon's Nazi salute at the inauguration). Never seen as a serious threat—even today—as it starts to actually become one. The vast majority of conservatives are either in denial over the rise of Neo-Nazism, or are just straight-up Nazis themselves.
To be fair, 15-25 years ago that was a thing. Phones in the 2000s had a setting to add a signature to the end of your texts. I think it stemmed from custom signatures in web forums (the thing everyone used before reddit killed them off). Regardless, everyone I knew used that feature, except Boomers, cause they couldn't figure them out yet. We've since done a complete 180°.
In my 20 years of being in the workplace, I've only ever formally quit once, and only because it was my first job and I was told that was what you were supposed to do. But then I quickly realized that informing your employer is completely unnecessary.
It is the employer's responsibility to make sure they hired enough people to cover any situation, so when I no longer want to work a job, I simply stop coming in. No two week notice, no phone call, no email. One day I work there, and the next day I don't. It's a simple and stress-free way to quit.
Like I said, been doing it this way for 20 years and there's never been any negative repercussions for living my life this way, so please: share your story with me. I'm genuinely curious.
One thing I miss about working at Amazon was not only the 4 day work weeks, but the fact that they handed out PTO so generously that you could literally call off one day every single week (or sleep in and come in late every single day, which is what I did), and it was absolutely fine.
But unfortunately I had to leave cause I got tired of the thermostat being set to 83°F, and the management who wouldn't lift a finger for anybody. Still, not the worst place in the world to work. You can just put on your headphones, load up a playlist of podcasts, and zone out for your entire shift. Not having to go through an interview process is nice too. Just show up, take a picture, spit on a sponge (they don't drug test for weed), and you're hired.
5ft is close for a 65" screen. Most people sit about 8-10ft away from a screen that size. And to be clear, I'm referring to distance from my eyeballs. The foot of the recliner is about 2ft away.
You're fucking joking, right? Twenty years ago a $30,000 car was expensive and unobtainable for me, and it still is today. I can only dream of owning a car that expensive. My budget has never been above $10K, and that's why I drive a 350Z.
See? This is what I'm talking about. People like you are even misremembering the direction of the slash:
Why do so many people mis-remember this? What causes this phenomenon?
