  • Metroid Prime Remastered

I'm pretty happy to be playing through this again, though even the "modern" control options leave a bit to be desired. It also sucks that you can't start on hard mode - you have to beat the game on normal to unlock it. Anyways, that makes it a pretty chill experience through a super awesome world design.

  • Backlog isn't sexy. Management wants sexy. Nobody's boss wants to hear about how the DB schema was improved - they want to see some new, flashy widget.

And the whole product line suffers because of it.

  • Much as the (legal) world wasn't ready for "socal media" (which in this context actually means "web content aggregators"), the law in turn will not be ready for anything federated. They'll try to apply the same "social media" rules to services that are decentralized, and those rules won't really fit, and we'll go through all this rigamarole again... in like 10 years.

  • +1 here. I used the same account for over a decade, then left the site when RiF died.

Enshittification strikes again. It was only a matter of time, really. Reddit ownership is neither smart nor innovative. It's no longer a site for users, it's a platform for advertisers.

  • Not the OP, but I went with Moto instead. They're slim, with minimal junk (2-3 Moto utility apps that aren't terrible, no Facebook or similar), they work as well as my Samsung phones (if not better), and my first one outlasted the network it was running on (AT&T older G-series network).
