  • Since that video was posted, there's actually been a swell of support thanks to some big youtubers making videos about it. It's already gotten 100k signatures in 2 days, so all hope may not be lost!

  • The political system is completely fucked. Going grassroots with direct action is currently the best way to both resist, and build horizontal decentralized power that isn't prone to the corruption and lobbying that the democrats have fallen to.

    1. find local communities and get involved to make connections
    2. We can effect things drastically with a general strike. This targets the establishment's income streams, and can bring a fascist government to its knees if done on a large enough scale.
    3. Contact a union and attempt to unionize your workplace so that the general strike is even more effective (plus, ya know, better pay and working conditions as a bonus!)

This method would not only work in the US, but anywhere in the world.

    Union Suggestions:

    1. Continuing to participate in publicly visible resistance demonstrations like 50501 (the next one is July 17th) to encourage others to stand up with you and prove to that there are millions of others who will join them in the fight. A large part of Nazi Germany's success in taking over the country was a lack of massive public demonstrations against the new regime, making people feel helpless and afraid to take a stand.

If we put in the work, we can resist this and we can win. Look at how effective these methods were when used in Chile in 2019.. If we completely reject the political system and rebel on a mass scale, there is NOTHING they can do to stop us.

  • I don't disagree that it ended badly, but had the movement not been pacified by the government's bait of reform and a new constitution, it could've been revolutionary.

Your people showed the incredible potential of collective power and collective civil disobedience. The documentary shows both the victories, and the failures to learn from, just as Hong Kong did.

  • The political system is completely fucked. The democrats will not save us. I think going grassroots with direct action is currently the best way to both resist, and build horizontal decentralized power that isn't prone to corruption.

  • Highly recommend Linux Mint. It's the most beginner friendly, smooths things over, has a great app store, and will make you feel mostly at home.

  • Here's hoping there's a final push for SKG, then!

  • The campaign was designed to save all future games, The Crew was just a useful catalyst to launch from, since it was a very visible example of what they were fighting against.

But yes, saving games is pretty minor compared to stopping literal fascism. It's just a shame that PirateSoftware fucked the campaign so hard, and stopped a big influencer from basically pressing the 'win' button by talking about it.

  • Some parts of it are rougher than others, but I'd say it can still be pretty fun.

  • Consider directing that rage into the methods seen in the Chile documentary in my first response (I edited it in, so you may not have seen it).

I think it's good to be prepared for a civil war scenario, but we should be doing everything we can to avoid one.

Don't be a hostage of the gun... But have one and know how to use it well.

  • Unfortunately, the liberal party in Germany ultimately became complicit with the Nazi party.

Our current democratic party is completely corporate captured, and do not have any ethical fortitude to stand against the regime. They are cowards who will take the easy path, even at the expense of us all.

  • Let's try a general strike first, since if the military doesn't fracture and join us, you're looking at open slaughter (or at best, The Troubles)

Look how powerful civil disobedience and an extended general strike was against the regime in Chile back in 2019.

If the more liberal parts of the movement didn't go for the reform bait, they would've won.

  • It implicated the police, and the court systems will always protect the police, even at the expense of imprisoning innocents.

  • Having a home printer allows for easy printing of shipping labels, zines, letters, etc.

As for books, it can be useful for rarer books that a library may not have access to, though that is a bit more rare of a need.

  • I've had an operational printer in the household since around the year 2000, and I cannot fathom not having access to one. I would be a virtual headless chicken running around wailing about gutenburg or something.

Switching from Ink to Laser printers was a game changer as far as maintenance and costs (you can pick up a reconditioned laser printer from the early 2000's from a company that specializes in refurbing them and rock it for decades).

  • Glad to be of help and that you're up and running! :D

  • I had to go to the F-droid setting, click on Include Anti-Features, then enable 'Tethered Network Services' for it to show up in the F-droid search.
