Sure, but those same commenters also ridicule the other side for being uneducated and not understanding the law or operating based on feelings rather than facts.

I like to have a diversity of thought and thought the Fediverse of all places would be promoting that. Instead everyone lumps into tribes and follows groupthink without question.

Have you seen how fast car thieves can steal cars now? Through repeater attacks or special devices, they can be gone in 60 seconds.

The DnD claim has a lot of validity, as a fan of DnD. Have you looked into it much?

The DnD devs are accused of working on Nexons game, stealing source code, leaving nexon, and buying the same assets Nexon used to rapidly build DnD from p3's ashes. The main leader who quit nexon directly poached from the p3 team to build the clone game as well.

I'm no Korean law expert, but there's something worth looking into there.

Palworld just has a similar art style, and the idea of catching monsters in balls. There's a lot more mechanics to palworld than Pokémon has, whereas DnD was actually P3 but made by a new team.

And Pokémon did it to Dragon Quest.

There was an image of a Pokémon mesh or framework being very similar to a Pal's, but the author didn't mention they manipulated the size and perspective to make them look closer but other users noticed.

Freedom of expression can be halted by public announcement, it isn't a guarantee.

Canada has far less freedom of speech than the US. They're also able to halt it by public announcement.

That's not the topic of any of my comments at all.

Many posters are ignoring basic facts of law and how courts work, just because they feel wronged.

Do I think the difference in length of sentence is fair for this leak vs jan 6 rioters? No it's not fair, but that's an opinion unrelated to the speediness of this trial entirely.

Its insane how hypocritical many LW posters are while claiming they want to save our democracy, freedom, and the rule of law. Laws only apply to people you disagree with.

I'm not that worried about my laptop in regards to physical access because I don't usually leave it in public unattended for long.

My car? Sometimes that thing sits in a parking spot or paid garage for weeks when traveling. I also leave it unattended in public most times I go brick and mortar shopping.

Nintendo is one of the most litigious game companies there is, and Palworld Dev is also based in Japan so there's no international complications.

If Nintendo had an infringement case at all they'd already have buried Palworld.

GOG lost my trust with the Hitman situation, and lashing out at customers that were leaving reviews detailing the situation.

They also sneakily updated the page to mention the DRM after people had bought the game.

How so? They're expensive cups with an active resale market. This looks like generic retail theft.
