  • It always cracks me up how the passive aggressive person saying "lets just give up then!" when one roadblock in a plan is pointed out, is generally the only person giving up. Oh no, the idea I wanted doesn't work, guess were all out of options.

  • Yeah its the same in the US. Ultimately its just a wedge issue to keep left and right fighting each other so that the capitalists can continue to rob us all blind.

  • Dont forget that at its core those people are outraged with the hand they were dealt, the GOP is just very good at directing that anger where they want (in that case masks and vaccines). However there is an option where we can stop dem vs gop fighting at a citizen level, and channel our outrage together at the people who are actually ruining our lives, billionaires and their government lackeys. Otherwise its total economic collapse, or WW3

  • Sadly I dont see a third party ever being the solution due to our first past the post political system. We need election reform for a third party to exist, and those 2 cunts you mentioned would NEVER allow election reform to happen on their watch.

  • For the same reason we have every fucking other problem in the world right now.

    Capitalism.

You cannot align incentives towards growing the wealth of a microscopic yet astronomically lecherous group of monsters and expect society to not just crumble under the weight.

  • Well we don't know if Luigi is the actual assassin or not, a lot of reason to Epstein him if you know itll be obvious he didn't do it, but still need a fallguy so you can maintain the illusion of control.

  • When you’re only targeting poor people, they let you do it. You can kill anyone.

  • It's a real shame they all end up in congress too.

  • I did try to kill him that one time though, but we're cool now.

  • The customer service rep is also AI. And if it isn't, u can bet your ass in 5 years its just going to be AI all the way down for anything support related. Literally anything to not have to pay humans for work.

  • I wonder how much Epic games makes at the end of the day. most companies that do stuff like this operate at a huge loss, functioning only through investment capital until they starve out their competition and become the head of a monopoly at which point their investors become even more pointlessly wealthy. However I believe this works so often because those competitors are also operating off of investor capital and eventually their investors decide to sell out and switch teams to get some of their investment back. How does this work with Valve? Unlike companies previously discussed Valve is a privately held company and has control over their own company, as evidenced by the fact that they seem to make discissions in favor of long term goals instead of short term profits, a concept that has grown foreign to the US market. On top of the fact they are currently the leader in online game sales, I'm unsure how epic can justify, what i would assume, is a huge sum of money constantly paying for exclusives. Maybe im wrong and the pie is so large Epic is currently operating financially soundly. ¯(ツ)_/¯

Regardless we should all be happy that this market is not a clear cut monopoly, competition is a consumer win.

  • Yup, well said. Woke just means liberal agenda to them, its cancel culture, blm, antifa, DEI. They completely missed the original context of the word before their media started using it as a catchall.

"you didn't listen to us when we said what it meant" we did, you just ignored us when we laughed about how that is never what it meant to us, and you think seeing a few stupid liberal posts on twitter being re-shared in your bubble as representative of every liberal....

Personally I'm capable of recognizing different states of a subject, i.e. what the word originally meant, and what it means to conservatives today, and i can compare them and see the differences, its like a super power lol...

  • Woke is just another meaningless label to them. It's the same as liberal, or BLM, or antifa, as in they don't understand what it is, but they hate it. Then they just call whatever they don't like by one of those labels and their dogs all go rabid. Bunch of fucking sheep...

  • he's flash over substance

Yeah, his audience is somewhere around the 10-16 demo I imagine. Needs something engaging or they'll move on. I imagine the idea is if he can get them a bit interested young that they might pursue stem, and then do the actual substance there.

  • I would guess your amazement is because GOP are understood to be in favor of small government, when actually they are favor of doing w/e the fuck they feel like to enrich themselves because their voter base is so fucking stupid they would vote for a rock if you said it would be thrown through a liberals window once elected.

My biggest concern is what will happen when the party that runs on christian nationalism and prejudice (redundant), that has majority control of the entire government, and is flush with tax revenue, is going to accomplish over the next 2-4 years...

  • Well now hold up, a little more than half of the 2/3 knew better but voted for it anyways. Id say they're pretty braindead too.

  • The god damn FDA and its war on...

    ....checks notes...

    Sunshine and Exercise!

  • As long as the rich get richer, the system is working as intended. Voting will not change anything other than how fast the wheels fall off this bitch.but we still have to, so we crash later rather than sooner.

  • If a chain restaurant gave half price food for a year in a loss to take out all local businesses people would gladly buy it. And then when everything is gone and that chain raises price because there’s no competition they’ll just blame other people, economy, whatever they can find.

Nice summarization of modern day capitalism, this is pretty much the play book. Operate on a loss and Survive off of investments until you have created a monopoly, then the price is whatever you want, use your newfound endless wealth to pay the government to create fake consumer protections that's only goal is to increase the startup capital required to attempt to compete with you thus securing your monopoly, all while the poorest people have all of their money transferred to the people with too much money.

Then you have people come around with this unwise narrative that people need to just "choose with their wallets" like somehow you can convince enough people, who are at a majority financially unstable because of unregulated capitalism, to spend more money than they have, to stop capitalism. I totally understand where they're coming from with this, but sadly it just serves the capitalists by placing the blame for their gross greed on the people instead of on them. Its the same thing with consumer recycling agendas when global warming was a new concept, its redirecting the blame onto the wrong people.
